Mrc gearbox map

Best to call them... I think it only can be mapped depending on what type of stronic you have..

I think problems arise if you have an early ('09-'10 ish), original mechatronic unit. If you've had a new mechatronic unit on a car inside of those years is should be fine. Something along the lines of if you have a newer 8K1 suffix B or J mechatronic unit your fine, but if you have a 8K0 suffix H mechatronic unit then MRC might struggle - a vagcom scan will give you the details on what you have.

The older ones can be done I belive but needs plugging in direct so will need car on ramps.
And imo. I don't think its that useful as I hardly use manual. I just knock it into sport to make most of it.

Not much, probably 2-300rpm but the turbo will be tailing off by then if stock turbo still fitted so gear change needed to keep the tourque in range.
Hence on these b8 audis not worth it unless rs4/s4 type of cars, all imo of course, but it depends on engine set up. ie diesel, v8, turbo, supercharged etc

My, 2.0 TFSI in standard form boosts to 1.1 bar then tailed off to 0.5 bar, so I'm guessing that's a stock that audi program.
Now it's boosting 1.45 and tails off at 0.9

On the MRC website, does it not stipulate that they will only do a Gearbox Map if you're running Stage 2 or Stage 3? In which case unless you're looking to get this done also, it may be a moot point.

This is for an S4
I take it, it's the 3.0 supercharged one then it will probably make a slight increase in rpm and lift limiter slightly. I'd advise a uprated pulley for best gains. So yes probably worth it for slightly better time 0-60

It'll lift the rev limit for an increased peak power figure and it'll give faster shifts whilst still maintaining the ADS 'personalities'. Those that have had it done on SRS love it and I intend to get it on mine when I go Stage 2. I had a raised rev limit on my old S3 and RS4 and it's great watching the dial go into the red naughty area :)

It should help those who have a B8.5 as those have a lowered rev limit as standard than a B8 giving you access to a higher peak figure.

Probably something to do with needing the pulley and belt to improve the top end figures enough to make it worth raising the rev limit.

I Have this on mine from MRC and it made a big difference to the smoothness of the gearbox. Faster changes etc.

That's the revo one and isn't one car in drive mode and the other in sport mode? So not really a fair comparison?

haha, i'd not noticed that!
was just posted as a comparison, but your right. not spotted that :disillusionment:
