Just a little thread for the car will be doing some bits as the summer comes on and the weather starts getting better, Basically the base is a 2.0 TDi DSG SE a3 as title says.
Bought the car as basically a cheap runner as a change in job is going to mean i need a bit of a workhorse and a nice driving daily.
First job was give it a good polish and a clean as it had been sat on a mates drive for 18 months, moss and tree sap everywhere.
Next couple of weeks a close mate developed the remap, full custom file on a totally standard car. Fresh turbo rebuild as it kindly snapped a shaft a few weeks after getting it. So a fresh turbo build a new turbo oil feed and a full genuine service kit later she was back on the road.
Just been putting some miles on the car over the past few weeks its been faultless, Need to give the DSG a service this weekend.
Coilovers went on the start of the week, set it at a useable daily height nothing too low. Fresh Drop links too.
Will be ordering some front wishbone polybushes front and rear bush before i send it off for a good hunter align in the next couple of weeks.
After that on the hunt for some 345mm front brakes then its save some pennys for a GTB1756 and the associated bits then some more mapping. Last on the list will be facelift it too unless the bits come up cheap in the meantime then i'll have em
Forgot to say EGR cooler was also removed when the turbo was changed too.Will be updating as i go along changing and cleaning bits as i like a tinker
