Plenty of aftermarket stuff on ebay, however I read on other threads they don't heat up as fast as oem mirrors

I don't think they're that fancy NHN.. :3sadwalk:

I remember calling Audi dealer to replace my drivers side glass as I don't like the split type I have. The choice is baffling, I think there were about 8 or 9 options for mine and prices were ridiculous so I just decided to live with it .

Cheers... Sadly mine is so smashed up I can't live with it.. in the dark and raining I genuinely can't see sh*t behind me! ...Problem solved anyway, I got a genuine Audi used mirror glass of e-bay for £25 and should arrive soon...

BARGAIN! :arco:

Any chance you can put some pics up when changing it please? Was looking at popping mine out to get part number from it but scared if I lever it in wrong place I will bust it.

Sure..

The mirror pops off easily really, I used screw driver as glass was already broken so didn't matter if it cracked again.. I'd suggest wrap a rag round it or use a plastic ruler maybe..? Anyway, just prize it out... swap the 2 wire connectors back onto the corresponding posts on the replacement part (make sure you put them back the same way they came off) ...And then just pop the mirror back in. The plastic disc in the mirror housing has holes that correspond to clips on the back of the mirror glass and it pretty much locates itself so just wiggle it in til it clicks.. Some pics if needed:

:salute:
