So finally I join the ranks. A couple of weeks ago now I purchased my first Audi, a 2011 A3 from Lincoln Audi. Originaly I was after a mid aged S-line, not white and most certainly not black. So naturally after visiting the dealership, I put down a deposit on a Black 2.0 A3 S-line,170, Black Edition, Quattro.
But I have to say its the best car I have ever owned. So far I have done nothing but drive and clean it constantly, some subtle de-badgeing on the rear on thats about it.

Really nice car you have got yourself. It's hard to pick a favourite colour with Audi's but, black with the Black Edition pack is right up there.

Thank you, thats good to know, I was concerned I had made a big mistake at first, but after really getting to drive the car and now having it sat clean on the driveway I'm certain it was the right choice.

Indeed, for myself its quite a bit of kit, It does tend to get a little bit unsettle on the lumps and bumps in the road, so I'm not to sure if that is just down to me never before driving a 4x4 car and I'm not yet aware of the handling dynamics or the tire pressure possibly being a bit to high, it is something I will look into come Monday though.

Really nice lad like the wheels was thinkin of getting them myself

I like them, I am debating getting a set of Rotiforms as well as for the summer, but we shall see.

Really nice car! Hope you enjoy it! Let the tinkering begin!

Cheers, I'm defiantly enjoying it, Im fighting a strong urge to modify it at the moment, I have messed with all my other cars but seen as this one will be shared between me and the girlfriend I promised myself I would touch it. :whistle2:

Yes please do ignore my remap comment, that would only start you down a long dark road (The dark side) save ya money lol

yes I understand your concern and unfortunately I cannot tell you if your car parts are ready to fail don't think anyone can.....I had the same concerns as you before I remapped mine, it's a gamble but then again so are most things in life, I didn't regret doing it and I enjoy playing with the extra power

Fair point, Im am not so necessarily concerned of potential engine failures in general, more the scare stories about turbo failure due to a lack of oil, possibly or possibly not brought on by a remap.

However regardless of that what gains might i see on a re-mapped 170 ??

Around 200 sounds like a fair number.. Sometimes more, sometimes less depending on how your car has been treated

Rick offers drive in, EGR blank, DPF gutted and custom map for very little money I recall
