Stage 2+ MOT

Just a quick query really.

Took my S3 2+ to the MOT station last week, fitted with 200 CELL sports cat and 2+ software map. The car passed so i was chuffed but the emissions report noted a fail on CO2 at fast idol. I always thought you had to pass all the emission tests to pass the MOT?

Just wondered how you other 2 + guys go about this. Do you remap to standard for the test then remap after or you passing on the remap?

Thoughts please.

thought i have read that a good blast before test to get exhaust gas temps nice and hot prevents these readings .
My old A3 Tdi with dpf delete use to have a good blast to clear system before the mot.

still a pass is a pass :applaus:

yeah took mine cold first thing and then it sat there half the day cooling down, maybe a drive in MOT is better suited?

Map should not make any difference. Any sports cat needs to be hot before the test in order to pass.

Where's best to get mot done if you don't want the local garage to let it go cold?

Im stage 2+ an i know the owner of the garage i take my car to, sports cats work better emission wise the hotter they get so i just tell them to take it a run up the road to warm it up a bit 1st
