I think so too.

The thing is I'd only want to hog the thing out a bit,and the RS3 just isn't good for that,although the TT-RS is,but the kits are horribly expensive.

I quite like it but, it still has 5 doors and that will put a few off.

My chance of owning one is nil, all the same. (Not into that Quattro badge on the lower grille, by the way).

I was just saying on another post that if it had wider arches it would transform the whole car ...

But I really do think the r400 is a blinding looking hot hatch out the box.

I find it hard to believe VW would release a golf 400 when Audi still pump out 2.5t RS models with less power.

I agree with Mr Burgundy would look much better with more pronounced arches..Still if someone would gift one to me I probably would accept it,s blandness:lick:..............Anyone:tumble:

As prev mentioned arches should be more pronounced and the alloys look a tad bland, I got flamed in the 8v forum for saying that the a3/s3 models there's not much to tell them apart especially side on. def not digging the quattro badges they are pumping out on new models looks gash, other than that the front looks good.

Yes it's a shame that it doesn't have any flare about it , it's an RS model and really think an RS model should stand out from the other models S3's etc ....wider arches would of been perfect .
 
Double posting as having a small debate of the RS forum to.

Photoshopped a3/s3/rs3 but always believed that a coupe like this would of done well with wider arches for the rs3 model and kept standard arches for the s3/a3.

That's the 8V forum for you, they are very protective in there ;)

Try mentioning Golf R, or A45.

I mentioned them once, but I think I got away with it !!
 
I was saying in the other chat I'm sure the new rs3 does have flared arches but they are pretty subtle on these photos the spy shot car looks like they stick out more I think the red was the wrong colour to show off I'm liking it more in black

Yeah the club sport looks nice , I was reading that the audi Quattro boss said that if it does get released it will never come with 520bhp, more like 380bhp. I love the RS4 style arches on it .

I'll agree to a point. The Golf isn't an ugly car and 400bhp is very nice, but yes, a 400bhp Audi would be much nicer.

The Golf R400 is a stunner out of the box, for a start, it has the correct number of doors! :p

What a pity.

They really should consider the occasional bonkers car for a bit of fun.

That link to TG's comments goes on about 520bhp to test the engine's limits.....they clearly haven't been trying hard enough!

Give it a decent sized turbo and a few other bits and they could have called it the R500

It's not out yet so where else are you going to images from ? I'm not sure where that's all.

Ah I see...sorry I can't help with that but I doubt you will get better than press release pics for now for quality..unless someone has seen it at a show or something like that.
