What's Your S3 Mileage?

mine has 69,000 on it and is unlikely to change for a year or so as its sorn'd
I will never sell it and my ambition is to one day get it over 100k!

92k gave 3.5 grand for a mint condition imola. 6 grand will get you a low miles showroom facelift!
 
Bought mine back in September 2013 on 77500 for £5k and it was a true testament to the previous owner of 11 years being in mint condition apart from a few stone chips (which ive had all resprayed now)

Now on 85k only replaced DV, rocker cover and cam chain adjuster gaskets, some split tubing and after run pump. Needs a wheel bearing, Rear ARB + bushes and new rear brake hoses.

Also, had the rust issue above the door blades taken care of. No signs when i got it but due to Portsmouth's own mini climate and salty rain water they came up within a year! Regularly change the oil in mine even though i dont do many miles, every little helps!
 
DAMN i thought i had a low mileage car, mines about to do 59k on a 52 plate bought it 4years ago at 27k with 0 owners on the log book, think i need to stop driving it to get back in the game lol
 
I picked up my 2001 AMK S3, 3 months ago on 119,000. It's now been through the following: Cambelt + Waterpump change, new timing chain + tensioner, a complete engine retime, 2 oil changes including a new pickup line and resealing of my sump, 4 new drop links, 4 new discs and pads, new thermostat, new parcel shelf/boot clips and a host of modifications. Car is currently sitting at 124,243 but still feels tight and great to drive.

Especially when I start adding up the parts I've changed and upgraded to keep the car on the road for it's 205k+ mileage! lol
 
Not a s3 but my 99 a3 has got 175000 brought a few months ago had loads of work needed doing but I got there in the end and now its like new.
 
I would be more worried about the miles on the haldex than the engine. The 1.8 20vT is a strong engine, and with a good maintenance routine should last forever and a day.

The haldex..... Not so much.
 
Mine has 104k

Bought with 97k 10 months ago and I have spent an absolute fortune replacing faulty parts! If I could go back I would pay more for a mechanically sound s3.

Much appreciated mate. That's most helpful. Got my 8p tdi up for sale at the moment so as soon as it goes I will be on the hunt. :) Hopefully will be in touch soon.
