Hey,
when I go for a longish drive or 'boot' my car when I stop I can smell petrol inside the car, this is only when I stop, I have checked the engine bay and underneath and there is no sign of a leak. Any ideas?

Also when accelerating hard and changing from 2nd to 3rd my exhaust pops. The car is standard apart from a AMD CAI. Could my car have been mapped before and not put back properly or has anyone else got this ?

If you scan it for codes that should tell you if the purge valve is bad. Check the lines to and from the charcoal container for any leaks. Also check your air fuel ratio, sounds like you might be running rich.

You can do all this yourself, I use an android app called Torque pro with a Bluetooth adapter
 
Also might be worth checking no leaks around fuel filter as that's under the drivers side of the car in front of the rear wheel on the floor and under the back seat on the drivers side is the entry point to the fuel tank but probably wont be either of these to be honest but i am just on about for the safety aspect.
 
I have checked my charcoal filter line and it has a split in with tape round it. Looks like the last owner loved doing bodge jobs! So will this be were the smell is coming from ? And can I replace the very flimsy tube with maybe a silicone one ? Cheers guys much appreciated.

Yep the filter collects fuel vapours so if the line is split you're going to smell petrol. Not sure on what you can replace it with but, given that previous owner has bodged why not just do it with proper Audi bits?
 
The smell of petrol in the cabin can also be a sign of a worn cam follower I believe.
