folder mirror on the left has developed a loud knocking noise as it folds out.
anyone else found this?

Yes, my passenger side did this for a few weeks. Dealer took a look and couldn't fault it. It's now fixed itself and has been fine for weeks. I'm putting it down to bedding in.

Is this when it initially releases itself from the closed position?

Thread revival.

My drivers side mirror has started with an intermittent juddering noise when folding in. Doesn't do it every time, and if you touch the mirror when it's happening you can feel the mirror juddering.

Anyone had recent similar experience?

No, mine are silent (car was delivered 4 August and has covered 1500 miles).

Mine still occasionally judders. Last time it was at the dealers I mentioned it to the technician who said it could just be the rubber seals becoming a bit dry.... who knows!

Had this intermittently on my last car.
A quick squirt of WD40 at the bottom of the mirror mechanism and all sorted - be sure to wipe any excess off immediately though.

Mine is noisy too, going to book the car in for this and a possible clutch or gearbox issue...

Yes, my passenger mirror judders noisily too sometimes. It's the rubber seal...

Rubber seal between the base and the mirror? I have some dry silicon spray that I may try if so.

Mine too.
I will try the silicone spray after reading this thread.
