Hi all

Two key questions. Do you have the Nav button in the MMI Surround? If not then you are in for some serious surgery to the car. Second is the MMI screen on the dash a colour screen or just red? If it is the latter then you can only fit the 2G CD based SatNav (aka Satnav MMI Basic Plus), if it is colour then you an possibly install the DVD based 2G version. To be honest however the cost of doing this will be many times more than the cost of TomTom or similar and the TT will be a much superior product with free updates as well. Also note that the CD based one does not display maps, just text directions
Other things to consider are whether you have the GPS roof aerial (just because you have the fin on the roof does not mean you have the aerial in there). You will almost certainly need to remove component protection from any device you fit
Hi
I do have the Nav button on the surround and the MMI screen is colour. i want to run the SatNav through the MMI as opposed to a stand alone TomTom type thing as i don't want all the clutter of loads of different screens.
i don't have a fin on the roof, isn't there an aerial that just sticks in the window?
Do i have to match DVD player serial numbers to my MMI system for them to be compatible?
I'm with elan2s on this one - I'd spend the money on a nice thin compact TomTom or something similar. Like elan2s said, you'll get so much more for your money. For the sake of having it on the same screen and a bit tidier it's just not worth it.
The SatNav system isn't great other than the fact it's built in to the car.
It is of course up to you though. Just my two cents
