Hey guys, this is my first post about my new car, I have had a good search on the forum but cant find an exact answer.

What parts and part numbers are needed for me to retrofit a MFA wiper stalk to my Avant,
I have access to VCDS so can sort the coding out myself,
The car is a 06 Avant s line but does not have cruise, MFA or MFSW fitted so will I need to change the controller module too?
also will a MFA off a B6 a4 work?

Any advice would be massively appreciated,

Jay

Hi Jay, here are the following parts you need:

Steering Module: 8E0 953 549 Q
Slip Ring: 4E0 953 541 A
Airbag harness: 4F0 971 589 A
Cruise stalk: 4E0 953 521
DIS stalk: 4E0 953 503 "C"
Lower cowling: 8E0 953 512 P 6PS (To replace your current one to accept cruise) Note this is the black trim code.

To answer your other question, yes, a Wiper/DIS Stalk from a B6 will fit a B7.

Apart from the DIS stalk, as I only have ones for the saloons, I actually have all the other parts required to complete the whole install. You would obviously need to buy the steering wheel, but not hard to get hold off. I even have the lower trim.
PM me if interested in a price mate. It will save you a lot of hassle searching high and low for all the parts needed as can work out quite costly.

sorry to intrude, but if i have a 55 plate avant with cruise, but no MFSW and i want to add the DIS stalk what would i need from the above?

Just the DIS stalk mate and a repair wire to ground, to cancel out the lower washer warning.

thanks very much, ill probibly do the sensor on the washer bottle, mommence the search function for that guid now..

just for any ones interest i have now fitted the the dis stalk, coded - working and fitted the level senor on washer bottle, personally i would ground the wires in the black connector pin 9 (9 and 10 are the pins for the level sensor) located bottle left a pillar behind he plastic cover in the passenger foot well instead of the blue pin connector in the dash just alot easier to access and work on than the blue pin.
