Just after opinions.

I like the look... but it suits certain cars, track slags mainly (obviously). But could my car pull it off? I've read it can be a ***** to remove if I just want to try it... Tempted to try some Tipex so it can be.

Car in question:

Main problem is a severe lack of funds, I get bored not being able to do anything .

Thoughts?

You could paint the tires whatever colour you want and everybody would still say the roof looks ****.

I may give the Tipex a go so I have an idea. It'll definitely be marmite though .

Also depends on the tyre manufacturer !
Nankang just wouldn't be right ;)
But what evs really , whatever floats your boat

They're Falkens. I know it's up to me, just after opinions because I'm not sure.

Just like you could spell tyres correctly.

Good job I did it to my own car then, isn't it.

A U.S spelling doesn't make a spelling wrong, and would still be accepted by any governing body within UK education.

That roof however, inexcusable.

as i dont know what you are going on about ill take you word for that

My first car was a bronze Vauxhall Viva, took off the chrome hub caps and painted the wheels with aluminium paint. I was also the proud owner of 4 part worn Goodyear Grand Prix S tyres so decided to paint the lettering. I think I just used model paint, took ages, looked good (in my spotted youth opinion) but didn't last very long, even the slightest kerbing and they looked horrendous. Fortunately I have a younger brother who was a dab hand with a paint brush and very cheap. He was kept busy.
Only set of tyres I did that to mind you.

Give it a go with airfix paint, if it looks crap you can just jet wash it off, or use my kerbing method!

It does when you're in the UK.

Hasn't been shot down in flames as badly as I thought, I'll probably give it a go when I get a chance so I can get a better idea.

I tend to avoid kerbs like the plague Stevie! Although water based paint is a good idea...

It doesn't matter where you are in the world, both are grammatically correct.

Me too, although in my defence this was back in the day when 13" rims were considered big, sidewalls were like, ehm, walls, and alloys hadn't even been thought of!

it surely must be when it rains

Only as a test! That's the whole point... If I knew I wanted to do it, I'd just do it properly.

Haha, fair enough!

Not biting anymore Jardo, I'll agree to disagree. Using an American spelling of a word in the UK is just wrong... IMO.
