Hi guys I'm after a favour, could any of you with a 2.0 TDI tell me if the car shakes when it's started? Doesn't seem right to me, the exhaust seems to rattle quite badly, maybe something simple!

Diesels often shake a bit but, if its excessive it could be an engine mount away causing the engine to move more.

Mine shakes too mate, totally normal from what i hear

I've had both the latest 2.0 tdi engines in different A5 quattros and I can't say I've noticed an unusual shake at start. The older 170 bhp did suffer from clutch shudder however.

Ex Girlfriend's dad has a 2013 A4 diesel and it makes the same shake on start up. Its not like an earthquake inside the car, its just a slight vibration for like a milisecond.
