Evening all, my rcl has been messing up for the past month or so but it was working intermittently and now its finally given up. And anytime i lock the car the alarm decides to start going soon after and wont turn off straight away when you put key in ignition.
Ive checked fuses which are good, and fob is working. I had a quick feel under the carpet which seemed all good but struggled with the seat runners being in the way.
So my question is, is it ok to unbolt and disconnect the seat or will it mess anything up like airbags?
I've also read about the alarm unit in the boot, with the back up batterys giving up and leaking on the pcb. how do you remove the trim to access it?

The door led, when i lock the car manually will start to flash but soon stays lit for quite a while, does this mean anything in particular?

I've managed to get one fob working remotely, By re syncing the fob, was it that simple? The other newer looking fob doesn't want to know but still works manually..

I got my mate to sit in the car and I locked it, and he was supposed to set the alarm off but all that happened was the hazards started to flash no siren, so would that suggest the siren box is ********?

Sounds like the batteries in the siren have died bud.

Think your right from what I've been reading. as there was no noise at all. I'll try get the box out tomorrow and have a look
