Hi just wondered if someone could give me some advice on my AUDI 1.8 T . I was just driving home from MOT test centre when I had the red oil can flash up in front of me i've never seen this before. I have checked the oil level and that seems to be fine it was not Low at all . Don't really know what else to do to be honest with you the car has done 111,000 miles has full service history so regular oil changes have been done any help would be much appreciated.

definitely do not use the car until it is sorted

you need to order a new oil pick up
you will need to remove the sump and remove the old pick up and replace with the new one
the strainer on the bottom has a tendency to block , hence the low oil pressure warning

Ok thanks very much is it a easy job removing the oil sump ? and do I have to get the parts for audi or will any motor factors do the oil pick up and the strainer and any idea how much it all costs .and do I need a new gasket for the oil sump. ;)

pick up is Audi/ TPS only and subframe needs to be dropped to access the sump. You will need to support the engine when you drop the subframe

Mine does this too but the light is yellow and is an oil can with the word 'sensor'. Manual says its a faulty sensor. Its ok to drive yeah?
