Can I remove the front recaro seat today as need to repair extension part and re dye leather

i removed all bolts x4 from runners , unplugged electrics , will the seat come out ? Will it f@€k !!!

Looks like inked the seat belt part attached to seat frame and other end located in a runner to the body ... I'm stumped , ended up with broken clips etc and got no where , never this prob TT when I removed seats .

i also looked at removing complete with floor frame but could no access bolts that hold this , what am I doing wrong ?
Anyone ????

take the whole lot out, 2x plastic covers on the rear runners, take them off, 2x 13mm nuts at the front in the centre, then slide the whole seat off the runners, tilt up and disconnect the electric plugs for motors, airbag and heaters

Jason , that's how I did it mate , but looks like seat belt part is on a runner inside a channel along side of trans tunnel , I could not shift it , was moving it all directions and was having none of it , all bolted back in now as the red mist was rising !!! And didn't get anything done today apt from get peed off !!!

really, from you 1st post i thought you were trying to split the seat from the subframe as there is only 2x bolts to undo at the front to slide the whole thing out, I've been breaking A3/S3 and mk4 golfs for a good few years now and have never struggled to remove a complete front seat. Should be once the rear plastic seat runner trims are off, 2x front 13mm nuts off and slide the whole thing back by lifting the lever that moves the seat on the rails.

So plastics removed from back , move seat forward , there are 2 bolts one each side in the runner guide , move seat back , same again , 2 bolts in runner guide , one each side , I then undone 3 plugs underneath , then moved seat back , but looking down the side , the seat belt looked as it was stopping it coming out , I guess this moves with the seat and is also in a runner on the side tunnel ...

Shall try another time now , day wasted fooking around with this and didn't get job done , so annoying !!
Cheers anyway

yeah so you were trying to split the seat from the base, just for clarity

1. slide seat forward.
2. remove the seat runner trims (careful as i think at least one has a little cover over a screw head so dont just pull them or they will break) these trims are the ones that cover the runners that are welded to the car sill and tunnel and the plastic trims just cover the ends of the runners.
3. slide seat all the way back, in the middle of the seat on the cross member on the floorpan there are 2x 13mm nuts to undo, they are tricky to see unless you know they are there, both nuts are about 30-40mm apart from the centre line of the seat (facing the brake pedal almost)
4. slide the seat back again and it will come out of the back of the runners (hence why you need to remove the plastic trims or you would break them.
5. tilt seat base up to disconnect the plugs.

from start to finish - 3 minutes tops really.

hope it helps

3 mins lol haha mate nice one , well I never knew about those ones. I was undoing the runners from the base , 4 bolts one each corner , and yes , the
Plastic trim at back , I've found out the hard way ... Shall double side tape that down !!!
Oh well , job for another day now
Cheers mate
