So, on the way home from work dipped the clutch and with a bit of a clunk it hit the floor and stayed there, can move it by hand but there's no hydraulic pressure at all. Thought it might have snapped which I gather is quite common but pedal assembly looks fine. Then I noticed fluid on the drive and it's dripping off the subframe on the drivers side and looks to be coming from the bulkhead area, as with s3's you can see sod all but it appears to be coming from behind the metal heat shield which is attached to the bulkhead behind the turbo, I'm guessing it's originating from somewhere beneath the brake fluid reservoir. I'm hoping this means it's not the slave cylinder and is infact something much easier to fix but I'm sure I read that the master cylinder is actually part of the pedal assembly inside the car and it's bone dry in there. Then again I could be wrong, any thoughts would be much appreciated!!!

Cheers,

Paul

Cheers tufty appreciate the thoughts, nipped out before and whipped the metal pipe from turbo to intercooler off for a better view and I'm pretty sure it's the master cylinder too, it's certainly that area and the gearbox side is bone dry, thankfully it's not the slave cylinder so should be a relatively straight forward job. Famous last words!!!
