DIS amber brake warning light

The amber brake warning light came on my DIS on startup for 2 out of 4 journeys today and stayed on for the duration until I stopped and switched off. Although it has came on again at the end of the 4th journey.

Any ideas what it is or is it just a case of getting my brakes checked to see what the problem could be?

I think you have hit the nail on the head there chap. Then go from there.

Yeah I think so. Just thought if there was any common problems that'd it would point to or if the DIS brake warning was for something specific.

Same thing happened to me. Replaced front pads, warning light never returned.

Had them checked out when my wheels got fitted! Front pads like new. Rear pads f**ked!

Could be a break in the wiring, or a build up on the connector for the par wear sensor.

Mine does this occasionally too. Pads seem ok to me, might change them anyway as some aftermarket pads have dodgy connectors
