MY15 Changes - confirmed from Audi, hot off the press !

I can see in future there will be loads of Sepang Blue S3s on the road! :salute: I too would have ordered that colour if it had been available when I placed my order. Already contemplating my next one now...but needs to be a couple of years wait.

Sepang Blue is a great blue.
About to devalue those cars with the dull blue colour.

Should still be standard, no mention of it on spec change.

... that article gives me a really good reason to wait.

So far the fuel economy of our 1.6 A3 has been low 50s. Even my Mk6 Golf GTD averages a genuine low 50s mpg. The old Mk5 Golf was high 50s. However the A3 has only done 1.5k miles so should get better. Doubt if we will ever see the 72mpg that the car is supposed to do. Though low 60s would be acceptable.

Think I still prefer Estoril to Sepang, but Racing Mica pips both.

It's standard on the S3, not sure why they said otherwise.

I've just got back from my dealer after trying to get my colour changed to sepang and have the red callipers one for September. They said they'd see what they can do. Said I'm thinking of cancelling to re order for march. Hopefully they will do it as they told me they like sales in April and May as the figures are always down
 
Be carefull though am sure MY15 will also include a price increase, so if you choose to change the order you might find yourself with the change but also a price increase from your original agreement
 
Yeah I understand what you're saying mate. I'm 90% certain I won't cancel my order, just seeing if I can get it out of them. If I get it bonus for me if I don't I haven't lost anything so might aswell give it a go

Usually the built can be changed up to 4 weeks before the build week. After that, no further changes.

We will know about prices increases when the next Pricing and Specification is released, possibly 1st May or 1st June.
 
Cheers for that Dave, would be amazed if there was no price increase, thought you were out of here :search:, good if you've changed your mind have found your posts informative

OK fellas got it now just read it as though if cancelling would be waiting 2 years, not as keeping current order then changing after 2 years:banghead: got what you meant now though, hope you get what you want this time round then woody

I thought the release said there would be no price increases for any engines? Or are u talking about something else? Or will it just be for new orders after 1st May/June?
 
Last year the price increase was in July. There is a period between where you can get the better spec for the same price, which I managed :)

Cool- so if u have already ordered and have a build week after wk 22 then u will not be impacted by the price increase?

so last year u got DAB radio for free?
 
Yep. I don't know if they do a price increase at the same time every year, that's just what happened last year.

Exactly- but it used to be a chargeable optional extra- but they included it, then put the price up. So if u ordered ur car before this change, u would have effectively got DAB for free (whereas now we all pay for it, no choice) :)
 
Note the A1 remains as model year 14 - think the face lift is due soon.

Back to the A3 I was disappointed to read the red calipers are now available. But second thoughts, with Amalfi, chrome details - red calipers might have looked a bit too busy.

I had a similar thought at first, but I'm not sure red calipers with Estoril would have really worked.
 
So, I have been told mid-aug delivery, but putting off until sep 1st.

I didnt spec TPMS but did spec Phantom Black. What does this mean to me? Should I expect a call from the dealer next week?
