A3 and S3 pre facelift lights

The same in what way? One has a projector lens, the other reflector.

The wiring connectors on the back are also different so adapters are needed, like these:

by "the same" do you mean external dimensions, clips and anything else concerning installation?

I'm breaking my S3 and someone was telling me the above 2 lights are them same.
I said they were not.
