lowered cars

Anyone out there have lowering springs fitted to there c6.?
Im trying to get an idea of what the s-line will look like sitting on some H&R springs!

I really like the stance on this one that jayP posted 2 years ago,
I know its sitting on H&R coilovers but I'm wanting to see how close H&R springs would get to this stance.

Wow, nobody's lowered their A6.! There must be someone!

I also want to ask what the ride is like with coilovers?

Some say they the OE s-line suspension is hard. It may well be, but to me it seem rather comfortable almost boat like.

But with that said, i also have a Skoda superb sitting on KW sport shocks/springs, it is a lot lower and firmer than the s-line and is also comfortable, it sits on staggered 19X8.5 & 19x9.5 rims with tyres stretched on.
Did I mention the superb is a taxi? I've never had a complaint from any customers regarding the ride being harsh.

The question is, will coilovers on the s-line make it too harsh? Coilovers have improved alot from what they used to be like, but I've never had a car with coilovers. Bilstein and H&R seem to be amongst the best from what ive read.

In case you still care, I did swap out my S-Line suspension for Eibach Pro springs (should be similar to H+R Sport in height... Super Sport or Race springs would be a little lower again), so you can eyeball the stance in these pics:

Obviously nowhere near as low as with coilovers, but I also don't have to nervously clench my buttocks to get over speed humps

Thanks fishyfish, from looking at yours, its definitely lower than my s-line suspension.
Yours has a nice ride height.

I'm still undecided to choose from Bilstein shocks with H&R springs
OR Bilstein coilovers.!

Are coilovers really That stiff these days.? I hear some say newer high end coilovers are just as comfortable as stiffer shocks with lowering springs.

I'm swaying more to the coil over side just a little, purely because you have the option to change the ride height, rebound, hardness etc of the car based on different driving situations.
On the other side, shocks and springs would be cheaper but with less options for adjustability.

Anyone out there with coilovers that care to share there experiences?

Yeah, I very nearly jumped at some top-shelf coilovers when I did mine (i.e. Bilstein B16 or KW V2), but decided against it due to weighing the large price differential and the possible risk that my wife and kids would hate me for smashing their spines to a pulp if it turned out I could not set them soft enough for a family-mobile. Also, I absolutely would be not be ***** fiddling with the setup once it was installed, so all that adjustability would be wasted on my application.

That said, maybe something like the KW Variant 1 (adjustable height, fixed damping) would be a nice compromise for your case?

if I was to go down the coilover route it would have to have the option to adjust damping/rebound etc.
I actually have KW street comfort shortened shocks and lowering springs on my Skoda superb and although its firmer than the s-lines suspension,its actually more comfortable but obviously I don't have the option to adjust ride height,damping etc.
