Morning guys

There is a piece of swarf behind the glass of the front passenger LED unit.

Even though it's half the size of a grain of rice I can see it when I clean the glass on the headlights and for an expensive optional extra you shouldn't expect to see it there.

Car is booked in at the dealers shortly but would rather not leave the car with them at all so was wondering if it's something that I could remove with a blower if I can gain access?

Advice appreciated and hope your all loving your 8v's.

Lou

Snake, as attached. Ignore the bug brains in yellow its the silver foreign particle near the lower seal around the perimeter of the headlight unit. Which appears to be a piece of swarf.

Whats your thoughts Snake and anyone else? Right to pursue such a miniscule defect?

Dealer should replace the complete headlight under warranty as that shouldn't be in there.

you wouldn't except something like that on the screen of a TV so why should you except it on an expensive option like that....

Hi mate,

Yeah agree, that should not be there - it is a sealed unit and should be completely free of any debris or particles.

It is an expensive option so you want it to be 100% right.

I would speak to your Dealer for sure and say you want it removed or a new light fitting.

Just as I thought. Thanks snake. A mate told me to leave it, you can hardly see it he said. To which I replied with a look....just a look of disappointment with his advice.
