I want to change my current 2.0 A3 sportback (2006) TDi for a quattro version.
I've found one for the right price on a 2010 plate with the right spec and colour etc.
It's showing as having 100000 miles on the clock though.
It's stated the car has had one owner from new
I've read that the 170 bhp diesel had issues with the injectors failing due to wiring loom on certain models.
Could I get some advice from people with the knowledge/experience of these versions on any possible pitfalls I may encounter.

Used Audi A3 Hatchback 2.0 Tdi 170 Quattro Sport 5dr in Leicester, Leicestershire | Braunstone Crossroads Motor Company

Thanks for any advice and tips :)

It will likely need a clutch soon and that's not a cheap job as 9 times out 10 it will need a dual mass fly wheel as well, the turbo may also need a recon. I have a 2007 A3 quattro with 115k full service history and looked after and I've just had to replace the turbo, clutch and fly wheel. My engine is the BMN.

Iv got a a3 2.0tdi 170 bmn now with 140 on the clock and my turbo is still going

There was an injector recall that I had done on my 170 even though it's hot and miss if there set up right from the warranty work. If the service history is there to back the car up then that's a good start. Do you live local to the car to go and check it out?

The A3 you put up has the new common rail engine so different to the PDs which did have injector issues.
