Last full shift of the year at work in a moment. hopefully wont be very busy. Got to go in Monday to rip all the gas and power supplies to our welding machines off the boat, then Tuesday just got to show up until I'm told to go home.
Then I'm not back until the 2nd. whole week off work, going to spend it sat in my pants playing computer games and looking forward to getting my car mapped in a couple weeks!

No kids for me yet thankfully :p
I work for babcock refitting the vanguard class submarines, mostly pipe welding, can be a bit of a pain in the *** when dealing with the nuclear stuff but get plenty of hours and shift work

Guys as some of you know I currently own an a3 11 plate slow as **** cabriolet but want something a that looks more sporty sound better and overall faster

I'm torn between the 3.2 v6 and the 2.0T fsi I can't decide they both have pros and cons, could do with some decent advice on them, all I'm thinking is if I get the v6 it's going to be very costly to get and more out of it, where as the standard 2.0T can just be mapped for an extra 40/60 bhp etc. the only thing that's keeping the v6 as a choice in my head is the sound it makes

What u think?

2.0T with remap, V6 will cost £475 to tax a year, and it will only go up!

Thats what I mean with like a £200-300 map it can be the same power as the V6, I jsut want it too sound good, which is probably the big kid in me coming out. I want it to just sound good.

Go for the 2.0T, much better engine and there is room for way more mods and tunerblity, and it will get better mpg than the v6. The turbo motor will sound awesome with a aftermarket downpipe and cat back exhaust.

I know what you mean about the v6 noise. It's just naughty.

If the sound is what you are after then go for the V6, if its the same power as the TFSI already then just do it! Unless you go for an aftermarket turbo kit you won't get the TFSI sounding good at all and certainly nothing like an NA VR6 with a nice exhaust and intake.

Morning!!

I haven't brought my lunch with me today and the supermarkets are a bit mental near us already, so i dont fancy waiting in one of those queues for a sandwich, I may just have to settle for some chippy food.

I think I am here for the day, but lets see how it goes as there is hardly anyone in.

Picked some Xmas crackers up yesterday at a really good price and we must have left them in the shop, I went this morning and they have all gone, so its going to be a nightmare trying to get some today!!

Happy days.

I hate the traffic at Christmas, just taken my daughter the 3 miles into town. We had a BMW driver pull out on us at a roundabout, 1/2 mile later on a fast road a guy just stepped of the pavement, had to swerve to miss him, then a 4x4 didn't fancy waiting in the traffic so drove down the wrong site of the road so he could turn right. I just sat there bumper to bumper. I was not going to move, and he thought it was my fault. 😡😡

The car is now safe and sound parked up for the rest of the holidays. I'm so thinking of getting a dash cam, will look in the sales.

I think this is becoming a regular occurrence everywhere...seriously considering a dash cam in my car like what Dave and Scott were discussing on the previous page.

I may just buy a go pro and keep that running on the car as those sort of accidents are the worse to sort out...round abouts/ give ways etc.

I just think everyone's in such a rush, no one can be bothered to wait or give way. The driver in the 4x4 was in a wrong, but would not admit it, he only got back into the traffic because someone let him back in.

Few hours in work tomorrow then I'm off until the 2nd :D
I'm also thinking of getting a dash cam soon. The last crash I had was blatently the other person's fault, was on the wrong side of the damn road but somehow I got found at fault, probably due to the fact it was a 40+ year old woman's word vs my word as a 21 year old

I can't be bothered, I'll drink elsewere. This pub serves lousy beer.

Children aren't normally allowed in the pub unsupervised by an adult ;)

How is everybody? I've been off work since last Monday now and I've lost track of what day of the week it is and I've drunk too much beer and eaten too much chocolate already.
