Hi All,
Could I please get some feedback for this ad.

I had it posted on autotrader for 6 weeks and ebay for 1 week (at the present) yet no one has bought it.

I don't think I'm overpriced but don't mind being corrected if others think differently.

Classifieds: 2006 AUDI A3 2.0T FSI SPORT 3 DOOR

Thanks

Maybe you're being too honest about the bodywork - I'm not knocking honesty, but you could just leave that out and wait to be asked. I paid £5500 from a dealer from my same year, same spec (apart from engine) 1.6 FSI Sport and it's now in similar nick - I've been offered 2.3 - 2.6K as a trade in, obviously yours is a 2l and you have both keys (I don't). I tend to start at what webuyanycar would offer then add a bit for their meanness. Are the new tyres a quality brand? If so, I'd say so - I'm always favourably disposed to someone who has put decent tyres on, but that's just me.

Don't shoot me - just musing :)

Thanks for the comments guys

Yeah, I think I'm there abouts on price so reluctant to drop it but if someone had driven it and wanted to knock a couple/few hundred off I probably would still go for it.

Good point about the bodywork, I just try to give people an honest overview before they take the journey to view it but I guess it can put people off. I guarantee if someone drives it, they'll want it but I've not had 1 person come see it in the flesh in 6 weeks....

Going to remove the bodywork comments on the back of this I think.

I can't remember what tyres but don't think I did goodyears...will check and list brand.

Just bemused that my P&J is being left on the shelf, I held off putting her up cos I thought she'd be snapped up but quite the opposite :(

We buy any car offered me £2,800 which I thought was laughable at first but now I'm not so sure...I paid £5800 for it 2 years ago so thats mad depreciation for an Audi but did buy from a dealer.

Advertised too wordly , wack it on gumtree with this kind of advert and it should sell very quickly. Use new pics and take plenty of them! Also get the car valeted as a clean car sells much easier! Price is decent enough, market value is approx 4.4k.

Title: Black Audi A3 2006 2.0T 3 Door Manual, Cambelt changed.

Audi A3 2.0T Sport Manual 3 Door in Black

Mileage: 84,000. Full service history with last service at 79k and cambelt done at 70k. Taxxed and MOT’d ready to go.
Spec: Climate control, alloy wheels, Audi Symphony head unit, 6 CD Changer and Bluetooth.
Usual age related marks, few scuffs, test drives and viewing highly recommended. Mechanically sound and pulls well.

in my opinion I think its asking price is pretty close to what it should be, but echoing others, I agree a bit too much emphasis on bodywork imperfections, all could have been covered with "car is 7 years old and has a few marks/scratches consistent with age, viewing is essential and encouraged"

Always make sure your advert doesn't actually put them off viewing it, let alone buying, cos if people come to view it they're more likely to buy it, even if its a little less cash than you want, having travelled to view it

PS... PHOTOS PHOTOS PHOTOS!!

Surely should of sold by now? keep us updated OP, curious lol.

Someone is coming to collect it today in response to Ebay ad but I've had to take the hit on price and go sub 4K which I didn't want to do.

I don't have the money in my hand so not a confirmed sale YET....

Fingers crossed!

can't believe you can buy a car like this for sub £5k! that's incredible value for money.

Without a doubt I sold my old 2000reg a3 tdi for 2600 and it was fully loaded I mean loads... Just hard to get good money everyone's skint...

I want to sell mine when it comes back from the garage. Looks like I will be lucky to get a love bite for it.

Yea I had to drop mine by 1k and when I did it sold within the hour lol

Yeah, I had to take a hit on the price to shift it but its gone now and thats the main thing. It was just sat on the driveway insured with occasional weekend trips so it wasn't getting enough love really.

Bought a 1.6TDCI Ford Focus off a mate to get me to and from work but already itching for something nicer so eyeing up 320D M SPORT which will move me away from these forums sadly. I know I don't say much but there is so much info on here I rarely need to ask anything so I will miss it
