Hi guys im trying to wire a in-car camera to my car, atm is runs off the cigarrette lighter power socket, just wondering what adapters/ wiring do i need to make it run off the mains instead and free up the cigarette lighter socket as it looks a bit tacky in there.

Repair wire to fit into the fusebox, what's the rating of amps.

There's also the Power Magic Pro way off doing it! It'll shut down the camera if your car battery gets as low as a preset voltage, thus saving you from a flat when you get back to it of a winter's morning.

I have one fitted & it saves the worry, oh ...and it's usefulness isn't limited to in-car cameras either.

Cheers, but i'm only wanting it to start up when the car starts up and turn off when the car turns off!

Still unclear about audi repair wire, is this what i need GENUINE AUDI REPAIR WIRE 0.63 000979009E | eBay

easiest way would be to get a pre wired socket, wire it into the fuse box on the car using a splade terminal, just test for an ignition feed and put the other wire to earth, and hide the extra socket behind the panel or in the fuse box, also saves chopping the plug of the camera aswell, ive done this on my van for my sat nav power, saves having wires on show
