Got a new one, Get in,in a morning, fire up and get peep peep peep peep?
Comes from the n/s/r.Never dose it all day,next day..peep
Any ideas?
Its a 1.8t quattro sport avant.

Strangely enough my wife has been complaining of a Peep, Peep, Peep first thing in the morning....

Her TDI does it,usually on a very cold frosty morning when the battery is only just capable of kicking the engine into life. maybe the battery is on the way out (it's a '97 car with 183,000 miles).

If I charge the battery the Peep disappears -weird or what??

You get 3 beeps on the A3 if the battery is on the blink in the alarm siren (backup battery). Probably the same problem.

As you have mentioned, it generally starts happening when its cold and the battery has lost charge.

If it keeps happening, then you will need a new battery/siren. It will probably go away though...
