If you're not in it already I'd recommend joining the rewards scheme for Shell this month if you're constantly using V-Power Nitro+

Triple points all through September, I've had the card just over three months now and accumulated nearly 2000 points (£10 off fuel)

Free monies really and at the moment every little helps :)

My S3 loves that stuff but also goes through it at an alarming rate. Even with weekend driving it's just too expensive for the mileage you get out of it

Tell me about it, I run mine as a daily - did 200 motorway(ish) miles this weekend to Edition38 and used just over half a tank. :-(

How much that cost you to fill with Nitro? I shudder to think.

Still it's definitely noticeable for some spirited driving

Oh yeah, if the tuning garages are seeing differences when doing dyno runs that's good enough proof for me.

£92/82 to fill from empty, literally empty 61.9 litres in a 62 litre tank. I found the price varies from shell station though... There's one just of Junction 29 that's the cheapest I've found so far.

I got company car and a shell at the top of the road so I've been using my points card for ages when I use my company fuel card. I really like their fuel especially when compared to supermarket trash. The Nitro is really good but it just seems to get used up so much more quickly than the regular stuff. I dunno maybe that's cos I always put the same cash amount in rather than matching the litres

@udi - what's this card you're taking about?

Russ - you mean jct 29 of the M1?

If so you two really aren't that far from me. I'm just off jct 31

Typical, this offer comes along just as i cut my mileage down!!!

I just got my points in the post today! £40.50 so happy!

I've just been looking at local shell garages to full up at. Had regular unleaded in this tank and wasn't so impressed.

Do shell do regular v+ now, or is this v+ nitro gubbins their only option over regular unleaded?

And 200 miles from half a tank isn't bad at all! I just got 260 from a full tank in my 1.8t a4 lol. New car, spirited driving ha

So I was thinking why I've not had anything from Shell in a while? I got a £5 voucher last year, but not heard anything at all this year?! Tried to login to my acc, but it didn't recognise my details? I had to reregister my card, and finally all my details popped up!

I have 16k credits, how do I make this into vouchers? On the right hand side under my details, it already says money off fuel vouchers. How do I claim them? lol

16k points is about £80!
They will send you the money off fuel vouchers in the standard way they send you the vouchers, in the post in that yellow letter where you can rip the voucher out

Call them up mate - that would be the best bet.

I went about 5 months without receiving anything after previously being sent fuel vouchers- then when I got my next quarterly statement through, it turned out they thought they had already sent them out to me and I had got them

Turned out my £30 odd of vouchers went missing in the post - they checked to see if my card was used against them which they weren't and so sent me out another set and an extra £5 for the inconvenience

Btw 16k is a crazy amount of points to stock up

I forgot to swipe my card on my last fill-up....emailed Shell and they added the points straight away. Triple points too ;) What an awesome service, no questions asked, just what fuel station, how much and what fuel. Added the points straight away.

Got my money off vouchers through the post too. Usually about a tenner as I don't do big mileage.

I've just had my £7.50 of free fuel vouchers happy days :)

I dont think here in northern ireland have any shell garages just bp its 10p dearer here if you use the bp ultimate round 150 a litre I use it makes the car drive alot better.

How have use guys found the shell nitro compared to shell v power?
One last question do shell still sell v power now they have nitro or has it been scraped?

I work for shell and yes the v power nitro+ has replaced normal v power which used to be optimax until shell realised they had used an opticians name without permission (doh!). The name change from v-power to nitro+ is not just a name change. The fuel has different additives than before and is getting a lot better feedback than the previous versions.

The fuel will change price at different garages as lots of shell sites are dealer sites now (franchised shops selling shell fuel) so they can do as they wish to the price. As for loyalty points on a Shell fuel card... it is possible to get the drivers club points... however company's can choose to block the points being added but they will of had to of opted out!

I convert mine into Avios, not vouchers. My reason is simple - the cost of filling up in relation to what you get back in money is minimal. A £10 voucher for V-Power in todays prices is only going to be a mere 6litres at best and even £40 worth of vouchers will be used within a short period of time (it's only about 25/30litres).

So my idea is to save up for a cheaper flight(s) for when I go somewhere nice :)
