What's up everyone,

Have been scouring the internet looking for different alternatives to the factory seats in my B7 (standard, cloth seats) and have come across a topic, where a lad was trying to order the factory RS4 leather seats to his car. After looking more into the topic, I discovered, that pretty much the only way to get this done, is to order them from the German EBay, however what has caught my attention the most is the price those seats go for.
For a full set, you are looking at least > £4k and that's not inclusive of the shipping charges.
Most of the resellers don't mess around with shipping abroad, which creates some more problems, and if they do, the shipping itself is around £1000, which quite frankly, is ridiculous.
Anyone here upgraded their seats? If so, what seats would you most likely reccomend?
Prefferably, OEM is the way to go imo, but any ideas would be more than appreciated :detective2:

theres atleast a full trim once a month on the uk ebay

also have you got rear split seats
as all rs4 s4 rears split and its a big PITA to retro them in to the car

Oh is there? Didn't know that. Just started looking into this so still a newbie with this , and wanna learn as much as possible. I don't have splits in the rear so guess that original rs4 seating won't be good. Any other alternatives?

I replaced the seats in my old 8L A3 - eBay is the best bet for a full set from a written of car. I had cream alcantara and black leather electric recaros. Make sure the electric plugs etc fit and disconnect the battery so the airbag doesn't accidentally go off

I had looked in to RS4 seats before and massively underestimated how much they were worth.

I'll make a bold claim here - you WONT get a set cheap i'm afraid :(

Also german ebay will be of course lhd cars & the belt systems are swapped, so if you have seat occupancy sensor & belt clips warnings, these will need the bases swapping round from seat to seat to make sure its compatible with existing systems.

2 people 10 miniutes give or take

That's ridiculous :wtf: Faith in humanity is lost, spending all this money to make your car look exceptional and it can be gone in 10 minutes

didnt you know if you have aomething nice
someone wants to take it away ?

I saw a top 10 list of parts stolen in London suburbs some months ago, it read somehting like this ofr the top 3:

1. RS4 Seats/interior
2. S4/RS4 Alluminium Mirrors
3. E90 X5 Wing mirror glass (heated + auto dip)

THe BMW part is very expensive as I have replaced two on the wives at £300 a pop, yes, just a mirror glass, nothign to do with the mirror body. THey didn't get stolen in this case, both were shattered by transit drivers. its just as well the X5 mirrow boddy is bomb proof as I'd hate to pay out for those and both of ours got away with polish out scratches.

The other items that go missing are cats which get cut off and ripped apart for the Platinum.

There are too many scumbags about sadly.

Getting back to the orginal topic, if the RS4 seats are to pricey, the S4 ones a quite good, I love mine and I drive a fiew cars on a regualr basis and still feel comfortable and secure in the S4 Recaros. They were even an option on the RS4!

Would of thought mirrors and mirror parts would of been higher up the list, must be real awkward getting in a car and getting seats out.

Where did you read that they were the most stolen?!

I live in London, have a full RS4 interior with custom retrim, so you've got me worried now!

I keep the Audi in a typical 1970s garage – it's hard enough for me to get in & out of the car, so good luck getting the seats out :)

I recall a post of here a while ago where someone had their rs3 or rs4 interior stolen whilst the car was on the street. I'm sure somehow they did it through a window without opening the doors but can't be sure

Unfortunately whilst there is a market for people buying things, people will steal. I imagine its rate though.

Need more info on address, etc

I'm sorry to say that these thefts are not as rare as you think.

We unwittingly support this by purchasing these items through many means myself included (Ebay, forums, man in the pub etc.). We should only purchase items that can be proven to come from a vehicle with the history intact. RNS-E's are another item sadly, and this is why when I purchased mine it came from a company I did some homework on and was a refurbished unit with a guarantee and history along with invoices etc.

I am not saying we knowingly purchase items that have been illegally removed but it can be hard to tell and easy to ignore in some cases.

Sad but true.

Hi Ultramodz, sounds safe and rather cool too, both re-trim and 1970's garge lol

Not interested where you're located (no offence) but would love to see some pics of that interior?

Not sure if it was ultramodz but someone had a green interior with a flocked dash at AITP, got a quick picture in my thread http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/audis-park-aitp-2013/196216-jakes-aitp-pictures.html but didn't get much of the seats (not sure why not though I love the RS4 seats).

That's Luke's RS4 (Plush Automotive). They fitted my air ride, audio and trimmed everything up.

I couldn't make it to Audi's in the Park :(

Luke was trying to convince me to do the dash like his, but I think that would be too much in my car. I wanted to keep the dash black, which is also why I didn't get my TTS flat-bottom steering wheel trimmed – much more OEM in my book.

Pics of mine:

Just found your thread "Out with the bose..." on Vorsprung Collective, and it looks absolutely fantastic :D Any chance of exterior shots of your car? :p

Ah, they're old now ;)

I'm currently running Rotiform INDs 8.5x19" all round:

I bought the INDs to switch it up a bit, but my main ("show") wheels are Rial Daytona Race – front are 8.5x19", rear are 10x19':

I'm actually now thinking of changing my A4 for a 911 (997) so PM me if you're interested in any of the parts on a PX basis.

Full interior, lots of alcantara trim, air ride, etc. :)
