Hi,

Right, ive been having an absolute nightmare since I have lowered my car. One problem after another, the latest of which is a loud and very worrying knocking noise which has everyone I have shown it to baffled.
Ive had the car up and cant see what would be causing it.

Leading up to this, I have had one quiet, single knock when turning or braking. I have also recently replaced the drivers side driveshaft. Threads to both problems here:

Here is the video:

The noise starts at about the 0.22 point. It knocks when driving slow or fast, it knocks when going over bumps and if I shake the car from side to side it knocks. So something is loose id imagine?
It sounds to me as if it is coming from the rear, it sounds to my brother like it is coming from the front, but its 100% coming from under the car.

Has anyone any idea what this could be?????

100 bonus points if anyone can guess what the other car on the drive is.

Thanks

Check to see if the arb is now knocking on the upright on the bend on the arb, I had this issue & I ground down the upright to a rounded of shape & noise went, its a sharp angled cast edge so was very close & even closer when turning, speculative but worth a look for any marks.

Was it you that had shaft issues when installing lowered setup?

Brill, ill go take a look now. Is it best to keep the car on the ground to check this?

Yea that was me, I sheered off the end as I didn't put it back correctly. I have replaced with a new one.

Looks like there is a fair bit of room around the arb, if im looking in the right place:

Are there any marks on the under side of the shafts & the top of the arb, shouldn't knock if all fitted correctly.

As far as the arb & upright, look at pics 2/3 & you can see the subframe uprights with 1 bolt fixing, its when the straight piece of arb then turns a corner/bends around this, is where I meant for you to check.

That upright edge is sharp angular like & the distance between the 2 was minimal when wheels straight, but of course when on the road everything moves & the arb rubber bush flexes hence my knocking, then again my arb was 26mm lol.

Did you find the problem? I have the same problem with my car.
