Hi guys just bought my first audi a4 sline 1.9 tdi on 04 plate but i dont like the rear diffuser an lack of exhaust i want the 1.8 t style one and change the exhaust, im lookin at a rear twin exhaust diffuser on a cabrio rear bumper can i unbolt that and fit it to my bumper ? As im struggling to find any anywhere

cheers in advance

Hi, your 1.9 tdi is not an sline, it is a 1.9 tdi.
in answer to your question, I believe the cabrio is a totally different fit, but you can use a saloon, or avant rear bumper.
i may be corrected by some more knowledgable people!

I only want to use the rear diffuser off t not the whole bumper inwant to know if just the diffuser part is interchangeable as i know i cannot use an avant estate one as there larger

The lower part of your rear bumper is interchangeable with the one off the 1.8t..... however the tail pipes are a little more complicated..... if you have a TDi Quattro then you will have twin Tips , one either side just they are facing downwards rather than poking out of the rear valance.... all you need do is cut off the downwards bit and fit new tips.... but as you didn't mention Quattro i'm guessing it's FWD and as such you only have one tailpipe on the passenger side rear so to fit the 1.8t valance you would need to modify your exhaust in some way ...... FYI there's a sticky at the top showing all the front and rear bumper options

there wasn't a b6 tdi sline.
i think they are all interchangeable on the rear apart from the cabs.
I may be wrong
There was a sport (aka s-line) in 2004

As above you can change the diffuser, part numbers are in the part numbers thread, not sure if cabrio will fit. Also exhaust from a 1.8t or aftermarket.

You won't be able to fit a cabby diffuser off the peg. There is the possibility you could cut one into your existing bumper if you were handy at that sort of thing, but it would be far easier to buy the GmbH rear from a 1.8T with the existing exhaust cut outs.

If you read my Bumper Options sticky you will see that your car is equipped with a GmbH (sometimes called S-Line style) bodykit - this was standard fit on all Sport models from late 2003 onwards. B6 S-Line's are all 1.8T's and not to be confused with Sport spec cars. The GmbH kit (as in Quattro GmbH) is the correct term, and more appropriate as it was fitted to Sports well before the S-Line models were introduced. You're not the first to be confused by it! Badges do not an S-Line make as they say!

As above really, Sports and S-Lines are different cars.
