A4 B5 Windscreen wiper change

Hi all,

Do the newer version Audi wiper arms that carry the aero wipers fit the b5 shape?

Mine are poor and look to upgrade if possible. I can't seem to find a thread on here that says so :(

Yeah as Scott say passat 5.5 ones are a straight fit, the only thing to watch for is if you have the bonnet up and the wiper get switched on they will foul and take the paint off your bonnet!
 
audi upgrades
If you just want flat blades then there's no need to change wiper arms , fit Bosch Aerotwin retrofit blades.
They are flat blades but still retain the hook-type arm fitting.
Some don't like them, but I've used them on my car since 2007 and think they're great.
 
I use the bosh aero blade too, but the only complaint is the plastic clip is massive, unlike getting B5.5 arms. here are some part numbers.

• 3B1 955 409 C (2001 Passat B5.5 Arm) - lhd drivers arm
• 3B1 955 410 C (2001 Passat B5.5 Arm) – lhd passenger arm
• 3B2 955 409 B (2001 Passat B5.5 Arm) - rhd drivers arm

• 3B0 998 002 A VALEO AEROBLADE SET with wear indicator, FRONT

• 6Q6 955 435 D REAR JET CAP (2010 golf variant)

i use the Bosch ones but they tend to last 6 months before they start to streak like mad going to go for the passat ones myself as the Bosch ones tend to make the arm sit quite away from the screen.
 
Trico neoform wipers from opie oils are another good choice if you want to retain the standard arms. They are normally on offer also iirc.

Been using the Bosch retrofit aero blades for about 18 months. Very pleased, no streaks. I want the Passat ones as I think they look that bit neater.
 
Yeah they are hard to get second hand, I bit the bullet and got a kit of eBay, not sure they still do them though. You could try a vw dealer for prices?
