Hey all this is my Thread for my beloved Audi S3 8l 2000 i bought this from an online Auction site in January as a insurance write off View attachment 12451

Ive since replaced crash effected parts and it looks like this now

Sunday i ordered my new headunit as my old one is suffering from the dreaded volume fault so i ordered this

DEH-6400BT CD Tuner with iPod/iPhone Control, MIXTRAX, Bluetooth, SD card slot and 3 Hi-Volt RCA Pre-outs (RGB/Multi-colour buttons and display) - Pioneer Car Stereo, Radio

Deh 6400 blue gallery

main reason for getting this unit is the 3 x 4v rca preouts and the SD card slot & BT
now the fun i believe my car is none bose. so now i need to buy some adapters or is it possible to make my own anyone have a wiring diagram?

Just bought some Chrome mirrors but it appears they dont fit the casing is correct but the original bottom cover is of a different shape so would leave a gap!

You need a Bose adaptor mate... I used one for ages with my Alpine HU before fitting the rest of my amps etc... worked well for me... the one I have is an Autoleads PC9-408 speaker line adaptor and you also need and aerial adaptor...

hey tuftty thanks for swift reply so this adapter works with none bose system? seems really expensive and £30 for a cable i was wondering if anyone had the wiring adpater diagram? so i can maybe just make one ?

Not sure tbh... I have it sat up in the loft ready to go into the classifieds as it happens lol (shameless plug)

If you have Bose it will say Bose on the speaker covers and you should have an amp in the drivers side cubby in the boot, the sub should be a twin cone unit...

Just to add i actually got these for Free for some insane reason the ebay seller decided to refund the money? haha thank you Barclay card

right so the adapter i would need will be PC9-401 for none bose systems? wish i could remember all this as i already did it about 6 years ago in my A4.

i remember running a wire to the ignition live in the fuse box is the same deal on the s3?

also im looking at facia's there are 2 options from what i can see

Faciaa31Faciaa32 which is best or are there better out there?
 
I bought same chrome mirrors from eBay & had same problem when I tried to get them fit on my facelift , the bottom attachment was to big to fit oem bottom holder.
I'd lost out on them after I tried to send them back..'.well ******'
 
yes i was confused about that you see mine is September 2000 the change for face lift model and i believe some parts like the headlight wiring harness are from face lift and some are not which mirrors do i have then? and are the bottom parts changeable?
