What have you done today?

Im tempted as these will be my winter wheels soon i was thinking mirror caps and possibly the front bumper side inserts (the painted bits around the grills). But then it might be a bit to much ??

No idea mate. I can't picture it in my head.
You might be able to carry it off but it would waste of money to do it and pull it off.

See what you think of grill over time and rethink the other bits.

I'm out of this colour at the moment. So if you wanted it we will have to order some more, a lot more.

Scott, have you become the official Plastdip spray painty applicator type person for ASN in my absence???

Id say the most difficult bit was removing the adhesive for the sill trims the rest was a doddle really took me best part of 3 hours would probably be more like 2 if i did it again !!

just need a new set of 18" LM REPS and a subtle drop and ill be happy well after its had a little paint work here and there !!

BBS LM look amazing on the B5 IMO, especially when the car is in black.

Really nice car you've got there mate, I'd love to stick an S4 bumper and some skirts on mine but they would have to come up at the right price to make it viable.

I've been putting off fitting the skirts for ages. Did you drill and rivet all the proper S4 brakcets on underneath?

nope i used super velcro were the original stuff goes then were the rear skirt trim goes one rivet at that end then at the front just the exsiting torx 25's, for front skirt trim i drilled the wing lip and riveted but had no clips so a load of tiger seal on the wing and trim making sure none weeped out, as for the brackets underneath all i did was use about four self taping number plate screws each side with the black caps on and put some tiger seal on the screws just for a bit of a seal, probably not the best way to do it but looks good either way and i though id hit a snag with the door trims (the ones that the painted ones clip to) as the captive nuts were all shot/not there but you dont actually need them there a pretty snug fit and easy to adjust without the screw in !!!

Tools needed :-
phillips screwdriver
rivet gun
drill with 1/8 drill bit
stanley blade
vice grips (to remove captives of your exsiting mouldings as no doubt they will be seized)
a rag or old t-shirt to remove adhesive
i used pre buffing spray that we have to balance wheels and do punctures with from apaseal

Coilovers finally fitted

well happy, may lower it even further at the back :yum:

Fitted my s3 5.3litre washer bottle! Woot, only half as much washer refilling from here on out! IMO a very worthy mod for any A3 with the piddly little washer bottles.
Now I'll be sourcing the rest of the parts for the retro headlight washer installation.

Also polished other halfs yellow headlights using maguires headlight restoration kit. £20 seems a bit steep, but now I know whats involved I can buy cheeper buffing pads for next time! Very good in the box kit though if you havent a clue and your lights are yellowed!

Looks great. The ride height of the b5 is the thing I like the least about it.

cheers mate yeh they definately sit too high as standard its bugged me since the day i brought it but happy days now

I sold this unfortunately.

Went ahead and debadged the **** end but left the quattro for now.

Don't like it.
Sorry dude, it just looks out of place bit like your parking.
What is going on with that?
If the parking thread was working I'd post your pic in it. :ninja:

This fell off my car.

Time for some new ones.

Im tempted to go for the black and red quattro badge with either gloss black or red rings ?? As for parking i was nearly late for work so ditched it but as you can see its down to one of the salesman parking off but i did only get a ticket not so long back lol

Scott,

The Avant had the same fault with a door blade - I ended up getting one from Audi for about £25.
E-bay only seemed to do sets for £100 or so when i looked.
The Audi part had a plastic channel in place of the metal one so no more rusting.
I also had a couple of those plastic clips fall off so drilled off the stump an refitted them with very small rivets (I used ordinary pop rivets)

I now have the red quattro badges on mine, how freaky huh.

The exhaust looks mile better than the standard item. I was thinking of doing the same with my rear badges, but removing the quattro badge and refitting it slightly further up.

The black and red badges would look subtle on your car

not technically today, but bit of an update over the last few months:
- Sourced all the parts required for my wideband conversion (circa £30)
- Rewired the engine bay for wideband
- Fitted, played with and subsequently broke my Wideband ECU
- Sourced a replacement ecu - flashed and fitted it
- Sourced a K04-023 core (New) and housings to be machined to fit
- Fitted new stereo with bluetooth and made my car NFC with my new phone.
- Made Custom heatshield for air filter to create a bit of space for a catch can.

Next jobs;
- Reassemble turbo after machining and fit it
- Fit the Saab Red injectors and 3" MAF
- Buy and fit Catch can and remove all PCV junk
- Remap no 3
- Fit new Gauge pod collection (EGT, Boost and Oil press) into centre vents

and, erm, theres prob more to come....

nothing too technical just some Porsche oil and coolant caps from wotmotorsports bought them yesterday fitted today that's what I like no waiting. Its the small things that make a difference.

After my central locking stopped working Wednesday I won a 4A0 (Audi 80) pump off eBay for a tenna and swapped it over today.

Thanks Bradderz for your thread with pics, helped a lot!

Was a really easy job, chuffed I have c/l again now, was doing my head in.
