Anyone have an idea on the best set ups for these?
All I want is my car to look a bit meaner and for the wheels to stand out a bit more, however surely having spacers will cause the tyre to rub on the arch...

I have no idea what size I want

My wheels are 18" and 8J i think, they are thebstandard 5 spoke wheels and tyres are 225/40/18 atm

Currentky have fk coilovers wound all the way down. Going to take out the helpers at the front to go lower

I think most of the guys run 10mm up front and 12mm or 15mm at the rear on standard 18 Audi alloys as ET quite high so they sit in the arches more. Wouldnt bother changing tyres you have on your current 18s. When you know what alloys you want, we will be able to help more with stretch tyres, spacers etc. As obviously all depends on what you alloys you pick

I'm keeping these wheels on. So I just need spacers and maybe drop the tyres to 215 for a little stretch? I haven't ran stretched tyres before so I have no idea how much to drop them and if I need smaller profiles too?

We need to know the offset and width of the wheel as that dictates all the info we can give you! If they came on the a3 as standard they are probably 18x7.5, 18x8 came on the A4.

So assuming your on 18X7.5 ET54 wheels
Tyre size - 215/35/18, 215/40/18 or 205/40/18 (hard to source)
spacers - 10mm front, 12mm read

Assuming 18x8 ET43
Tyre size as above
spacer - 5mm front, 5/8mm rear

Thats what I'd go for anyway...

18x8.5 ET45 Front and ET37 Rear will sit bang on with a 215/40/18 and wont rub. I ran this with my FK's, no helper etc.

This is 18x8 ET45 front and ET 37 Rear. 215/40/18.

I have now changed to ET33 rear with the above and still no rubbing.

Hope that helps a bit.

10mm is barely noticeable.

I've dropped from 225 to 215 as I can get virtually free 215.

looks so much better at the front with the helpers out mate :) might take mine out. Is it a bumpy ride?
and do you run spacers?

No spacers up front, those ofsets include spacers on the rear, hence the difference in ofsets. Both sets of wheels are ET45 before spacers.

Rides ok to me!
