yellow power steering light

hello people,

my battery terminal recently came loose and i connected it about an hour later, the power steering light comes on yellow and now stays on and i have no power steering, this happened before and it normally just goes out but this time it hasnt.

any help on this?

Drive it a mile. It should be ok

drove it about 10 still won't go off, thinking where the battery terminal come off might of blown something, cheers mate

Doubt you have blown anything mate. You need to get it on VCDS and do some basic settings. Where abouts are you, as am sure someone near by can help out for some beer tokens

I am in north London, Edmonton. Only 20 mins other side of Blackwall Tunnel, if you can take the drive with no power steering?

^ This, but you may have to do it while moving at low speed.

well i would at first instance advise the slow driving (below 5mph) and do a full lock to the left, hold for 3 seconds and then full lock to the right and hold for 3 seconds then return to centre and drive... if this doesnt resolve the issue then on VCDS you would need to reset the basic settings on the steering angle sensor and follow the procedure advised by rosstech:
