Exhaust time ( shortly )

Hi all as title says ill need a new exhaust in the not to distant future I was wondering what are the better options, I have a standard system on there now but I was thinking of getting a powerflow as there are two centres near me that do them, I have the 3" downpipe and de cat on there at the moment so I was thinking of getting a 3" all the way through, or is that over kill?

What would you guys recommend as this is going to need doing shortly
 
Ive got a full 3" tbe exhaust, decatted and only one silencer, slunds immense and is future proof for 4/500bhp, win win.
 
i would say a manifold xs mk3 would be a great addition. i work in redhill if you ever want to see and feel the difference.
 
I am watching one on eBay, even tho the other day I did say I wouldn't be doing any tuning till I get an issues I have resolved, but if it stays at good price ill bid lol,

Dani, would you say that a 3" exhaust is better for the breathing of the car?

He would also need a K04 too as his car is an AGU A3 ;P

Std K03 mani flows better than a std K04 main anyhoo and can be made to flow more with a little porting... Bill has done a fair few of these now...

Definately mate, it just flows no matter what, no restrictions.
 
Ok cool well ill have to get a price soon, are they loud as I wouldn't want anything really loud, my standard box seem to be a nice deep sound compared to most a3's I've seen, which I like but wanted to get a stainless steel exhaust next
 
Errr, kinda haha. Okay am not going to lie, yes haha, and thats with a re silencer, i was going to only have the back box but exhaustuk advised me against it, it sounds ssoooo good though and on full chat its unreal mate.

i am currentlyly running a a3 aum with a powerflow turbo back with a decat and have heard off many of people it sounds nice where abouts are you grale1? i am also in the process of putting my s3 on the road but am thinking of getting a relentless mani downpipe and decat on that and maybe a powerflow cat back.

Corr more and more prople keep saying there from around our area grale im liking this alot.
Remember mine is a powerflow cat back love the sound if i could i would of had a turbo back tho

What colour is your car jezzy? I have seen a red s3 and I know a black s3 then there is is grant (snash7) silver a3 and beck with a black a3.

Grant ill prob end up getting one built from what was rsr in Croydon as they do 3" pipe work,
 
When I got my cat back on my last car from rsr in Croydon I got to chose how loud. I didn't have 3" though so I don't know if that would be different?!

beck, I was just thinking about the car breathing better I wouldn't want it loud, I like it how it sounds at the moment as its sounds different to yours for some reason
 
Yeh that's what I mean. If you go in there and say you don't want it loud they can cater to your needs. Then if its your back box that is making your noise then they can give you the lowest tone or whatever they do and it will still stay the same.
