Hi
My A4 has the a horrible towbar on it
And has the two light sockets connections which I out after meant that the car was used to tow a caravan
Could this have done any damage to the car/ clutch or gearbox?
Anyway I plan on removing it fairly soon
Is it a job for a 'DIY' mechanic or would I have to take it to a real mechanic to get it removed?
What exactly is involved, removing the rear bumper? and what about the electrics of cutting the wires and light connections?
Also I've heard a friend says if you remove a towbar there is some other part you have to fit back on the chassis?
Big of a long winded post but
Thanks
