Here is my old car:

As I have changed I have a K&N panel filter done around 5k, xcarlink, psi tuning box all to get rid off. Pm me if your interested in any of them. May have some other things too but can't remember!

So what do you all think?

Avant defo. But my mates 1 series did us proud on the big charge to morzine France on our last snowboarding trip.!!!
 
Nah I'm most defiantly not a hairdresser!! Plenty of blokes driving around in the 1 series, it's not a TT you know?! The avant does look good in that picture, but I'm sure if I put the bm in the same location it will look just as good! I wouldn't have got rid of the avant but the multitronic box was on its way out AGAIN. Only done 20k since it last had a new ecu (at the cost of £1200).

So I thought instead I would change for something else, and I quite like the 1 series. 174bhp and rear wheel drive = FUN + (**** in the snow/ice!). Managed to get £4000 trade in on the avant with 105k on the clock so not too bad! Obviously they did not know about the gearbox! If it hadn't of gone again I would have kept it a bit longer. But can't complain with the bm, cheaper insurance, cheaper tax, and 40+ mpg around town driving it hard.
 
Yeah the 1 series was a bit of a challenge on those snowy twisty mountain roads. Snow chains were needed, but where's the fun in that??
You got plans the zim zimmer??
 
Not got too much planned for it at the moment. Just...

Remap - should see 215-220 bhp
Darkline rear lights
BMWP rear spoiler
Black kidney grills
Auto open boot
Possibly lowering springs
Powdercoat alloys - probably gunmetal grey sort of colour
 
I think the avant is a better looking car, but from what you say it seems like a logical change. I do miss rear wheel drive though!
 
Guy at work got a 123d twin turbo m sport diesel jobby keeps trying to convince work lads it's a rocket but they all give him to much stick about it being a girls car lol....
