F1 Season 2012

I think " nuff said " should be banned on forums,it means end of discussion on a internet based forum for discussion !?
Contradiction or Arrogance ?
Anyway...nuff said :)

Anyway, back to the race - I love the fact that we now have a different winner, however.... its getting boring for me now, the tyres are just a lottery for every team - this doesn't seem like any sort of racing I've ever seen tbf - It's not about how much racing skill you have (obviously helps), it seems to be about many other things which sit much higher on the priority list.

Glad Webber won as opposed to some of the others, Mclaren REALLY need to sort their pit stops out, they are getting beyond a joke now - what happened in the last 10 laps? all those cars bunched and not one overtake BORING.

Glamorous as it is that is probably one of the most boring Monaco GP's I've ever witnessed
i agree with you 100%,:applaus: i been saying the same thing, might as well be watching wacky races (the cartoon)

What an utter *****. Looks like end of F1 for me this year :(

Ferrari what a stupid mistake. Instead of finishing 2nd dropped to 5th :(

wow Ferrari ...what a giveaway. if Alonso had pitted 2 laps after Hamilton, He may have come out just in front and gone on to win.

Great race today and pleased for Lewis but Jenson needs to find some form soon. He was very downbeat during his interview, I hope they can work on the problem over the next week or so. What's Eccleston been saying about the beeb then? That would be a travesty as there's still lots I don't like about the sky coverage.

Nando owned Ramilton again. No shocker there tho :yum:

Nando got OWNED by 'Ramilton'.... twice! lol :haha:

1. Alonso 76 Points.

Nuff said. Poor shamilton lost again...Boring.

1. Lewis Hamilton 88 Points.

After a VERY hectic weekend, only just managed to watch the race!! oh my life..... amazeballs!!!!

fair play to Alonso and Vettel, it just wasn't to be though... wooop woop long awaited Lewis!!

OH MY LIFE!!! one lap to go and Alonso sinks to fourth!!?? how can this be, he always owns HAMILTON!

Uh oh as i write this.... fifth??

(of course you guys know the result, i just love the drama to be had here :D )

My dads just put the race on he managed to not find out who won the race I was so tempted to tell him hes really proud hes gone all day without knowing lol.

Chris.

haha I only heard ad hoc that there was a 7th winner! Assumed Hamlton, but you just never know!! even when he was third you still get excited ignoring what you know is coming :)

One of the best races iv watch for sometime, its always good to hear the teams radio chatter but it really added to the race to hear Lewis and the team talking.
Bet they needed a toilet brake before Lewis caught up with Vettel :)

I think it was honest racing from Lewis, overtaking Alonso the first time with both on newish tyres, then after his last pit stop it was just quality to watch him do fastest lap after fastest lap to catch Vettel and Alonso.

Like said just crazy to keep Alonso out, but that’s the “wacky races” side coming in again, teams not going for victory on ability but blind luck!
I seen two different types of drivers/teams in this race, the drivers that went for the win!.. and then the drives that just went on a Sunday drive and let all the other cars just pass them not to burn-up the tyres, do one pit stop and come home second and third?
Is this the future of F1 :tocktock:

seems daft doesn't it.....

The more i think about it, one of the most enjoyable things about the last race, was the fact that Lewis was able to push the crap out of that car - he was able to race to the end because of the fresh tyres. That's how it should be, we're going back to the time when we had refuelling, too many things dictate the final race outcome, driver skills are secondary.

Ferrari was simply to greedy. All the needed to do is pit one lap after Hamilton and would keep 2nd comfortably.
Alonso would be still championship leader and might have a chance to fight with lewis for first.

Yes, but they was thinking of Vettel also, it's not a 2 horse race, they went for it based on what other drivers are doing.

It's like what Spooky said above, there was many different strategies between different teams, and the sunday drivers came home 2nd and third. Bust most importantly, the fastest driver came FIRST!

Lol i like the way alonso drives though, very well thought out like when he let vettel past him before the DRS so he wouldnt catch perez and overtake him on the championship! Well donee to lewis's performance though, great driving!

Don't look like much opportunity for overtaking at vallencia, a good Qualifying will be a deciding factor i think.

Button fastest in practice, only thing im taking from that is JB is happy with his car and i hope he can get it in the top 5

ALONSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

oh hang on...wait..wait!! put the bucks fizz away.... he's qualified 11th!

Vettel flew round that track.

Cheating b'stard, everyone else had to drive.

Vettel is out, hamilton under investigation. This race getting more exciting now. :) x

I think thats the best race in Valencia I've seen in a while. Amazing drive from Alonso :) Forza Ferrari :D Hamilton unlucky again :)

Thats got to have been the best race so far this season. Great win for alonso. :)

And that was another race showing that Massa shouldn't be driving for Ferrari long time ago.

BTW. Anyone going to British GP?

Very good race to watch, but gutted for Hamilton and Grosjean. Not the first time Hamilton's been rammed off the track by Maldonado, but excellent driving from Alonso to take the race.

That's disgusting.... 20 second penalty..... stewards are biased pieces of s**t

What about the winning car that couldn't make it back to the pits? amazing how the only lap it needed to do anything without any pressure on its engine, and it suffers a failure... blind eye perhaps

The FIA aren't too disimilar to FIFA

imho i think there was more drama today than out and out racing.

Apart form the first few laps and the last few laps there wasnt any overtaking by the top 5 leading drivers... but from there back was mayhem lol

so sad to see B Senna getting that drive through, i didnt think it was his falt imo, and the point im making, its to late now for his team to appeal??

So happy for Alonso, i had goosebumps watching him drive the last 10 or so laps after Vettel went out, and to park-it-up next to the crowds of fans...emotional.. awesome!!

(wonder if thay dont find a fault with the alonso's car will he be penalised) i don't think so!

Red Bull i think will always be suspect

As Sebastian Vettel sped well clear of the otherwise tightly-bunched Valencia field in qualifying, the latest rumblings about the legality of his 2012 Red Bull began to grow louder.

A new Adrian Newey-penned floor has debuted on the RB8 this weekend, which according to some sources produces a kind of 'double diffuser' effect.

And veteran photographer Darren Heath said he heard from his regular trackside vantage point in practice "what sounds like off-throttle blowing" coming from German Vettel's car.

Germany's Bild newspaper said the situation could lead to F1's "next protest threat against Red Bull".
