Ive been thinkin that myself recently. Something like a Pic of the Month Poll would be a good idea

I use to run and ran it for a couple of months but with only 4ish entries each time and then it eventually died.

It is a shame, cos i think a friendly comp can inspire the more advanced photographers and push them to be more creative, but also help and give confidence to new photographers with some constructive criticism
........but like said, needs a lot of interest to make it work.
