BATTLEFIELD 3

It is missing a certain something.
I think i'll enjoy it more when a weapons pack get's released.
I haven't played for a few weeks but it seemed to lack teamwork unlike BC2.

I haven't played for a few weeks but it seemed to lack teamwork unlike BC2.

The teamwork side of things is completely missing. I've hardly managed to play with any of my mates due to the match making system putting us on opposite teams or the mics not working :(

All Battlefield games revolve around the squad play side of things but it's impossible on BF3 at the moment. Sort it out DICE!

I bought bf3 when it came out, only played it a few times... I'm bored. Jumped on multiplayer and pretty much got owned everytime. Takes so long to adapt to new games and maps I just cannot be bothered.

Im still not feeling BF3 yet, its a constant pain with the squad issues, its feeling rather lonely even when my pals are on-line and in the same squad, you just never know if they can hear you speaking or when they can its in bits so you kinda give up on that side of the game,

Im now playing BC1 and 2 mostly,

well i really do like the new maps, seems more like a MP now, although some issues still there. i felt that i over played it when i first got it and it seemed boring but i have been having lots of fun in the new maps.

trouble is i dont have many friends on my list that have BF3 so havent really got into a game yet so would love to join in with some of the boys, what are the problems with the squads????

tbh i dont think BF will get much attention from me as come xmas day i shall have skyrim, formula 1 2011 and MW3 to keep me busy, i must say i am liking the new maps though and they well worth playing lads

BF will out perform any COD game mate, im really starting to get back into it now and im reguarly spending 3-4 hours on it a day

So what do you guys think of the Expansion pack, back to karland?

I think the new maps are amazing and i'm loving the new vehicles and guns, assignments are good fun.

Back to Karkand (not karland :p) has kinda spoilt the whole BF2 maps for me - based on the fact there is so much more on the maps now, you can enter so many more buildings and everything can be destroyed. Its so different :(

Guess it will take some time to get used to it again, but just seems to different from what I remember, even the way that people play the map is different.

what platform is everyone on here playing on? Im on xbox, and i found it really different to MW3 - very hard to get into initially due to what feels like a slower pace, and trickier physics (bullet trajectories etc). I'm starting to get the hang of it now and i've managed to bump myself up to the dizzy heights of level 5 now :)

I'm on PS3. I found this game so much more different to Battlefield Bad Company 2 that I loved. You cant just run and gun, you need to use cover and also burst fire more due to the added recoil in this game.

I've not played for about 4 weeks now.

i know, at first I hated the fact i couldnt run n gun, but at least that means its a change from MW3 which is pure run n gun.

although I am getting good at RPG headshots now :)

The thing is BF3 is so squad orientated yet at the moment you cant communicate with your squad due to the mics being glitchy. So if you cant work as an effective squad and you cant "run & gun" it makes life quite difficult :(

Don't forget if you want to run n gun you can always just play team deathmatch or squad deathmatch games!

Anyone know of any fixes coming soon for this squad problem, tried with my mate to get into a game and join sessions and no luck at all and it's disappointing I must say

I`ve got BF3 and spend a bit of time on there, too much time, I love it.

I`d only played COD untill recently then tried BF3, what a difference, so much so I`ve sold all 3 MW games, specially MW3 it was terrible :)

I've not heard of anything but it is very annoying. I'm back on GT5 at the moment and loving it.

I stopped playing Bf3 as well after reaching Rank 51,
back to good old fifa :D

I haven't played it this year! I've got well into GT5.

I've noticed that a lot o the guys I played BF3 with have gone back to BC2 as it's still a much better game multiplayer.

Looked at my profile today and the last activity was 4 weeks ago :/
Shame really as was really looking forward to it for a long time!

Get a PC you console noobs :asskicking:

Problem with PC gaming is everytime a new game comes out you need to upgrade to be able to run it properly.

PS3 been out five years now and how much has it cost to upgrade, yup nowt. Ok it may not be as good as a decent PC even when it was released but you get what you pay for.

PC gaming is all well and good. If you have the space for it all.

I ditched PC gaming, as no longer have a spare room.

All my gaming is Xbox, rarely use my PS.
I play a lot of BF3. Got a lot better since the last patch. With custom servers, you can find games that suit you. Team work is much improved.

GT is dG R0M

This article may help explain why i think you are wrong Is PC Gaming Really More Expensive Than Consoles? - PC Feature at IGN

Which bit do you think im wrong about ? Ok an over exageration on my part about having to upgrade everytime a new game comes out,but how many gamers would be happy playing something like Battlefield 3 on a 5 year old PC. Developers are always pushing the bounderies of what hardware is available so if you want the best out of a game you will need the best equipment to get it, hence upgrading.
Im not anti-PC gaming in the slightest, some games (BF3 for one) look amazing on a PC decent enough to run it properly without having to reduce resolution, lighting effects or whatever.

Just for me personally I like the simplicity of sticking a disk in the PS3 and playing. I find PC`s enough hassle as it is without having to mess about getting games to run.

And that IGN article is shockingly bad, did you actually read it?? How many people dont have a TV?, and of those that dont how many would want to buy a console? I`m not sure how he managed to come up with the figures he did but I bought my PS3 and a HDMI cable, only other extra cost (ie what I wasnt paying before I bought PS3) is the price of the games and if you shop around you can get new games for around £30.

Really what im trying to say is that it's a myth that PC gaming is vastly more expensive in regards to cost for most gamers compared to Console gaming; for example I have a 6 year old machine and I have only just needed to upgrade my graphics card (when BF3 was released) up to then I had no outlay apart from buying the games. This card still only cost me £80 and I am confident it will be able to play new release games for at least a couple more years on High/Ultra settings. I understand it horses for courses and it's down to individual preference, but for me anyway the gaming experience from a PC will always top the consoles (well for the time being, until the 4th generation of consoles are released, that may change my mind although they may be closer to £1000 mark by then). And I agree the article wasn't the best example lol :respekt:

Who gives a **** about wether pc is best etc

I couldn't give 2 monkeys about what I play it on as long as I get to play bf3

Hi Twiggy, you on ps3 matey?? or one of them xboxers?
not played BF3 I play MW3 usually but thinking of getting BF3

Whilst im certainly not saying PC gaming is too expensive vs console etc. I PC gamed for many years, with very high end machines, watercooled, triple gpus etc.
Space is my limiting factor these days. I dont have room for a desk, or multiple monitors, which is what pc gaming is about ;)

You'll struggle to buy an £80 card that will get anywhere near BF3 on Ultra. Unless your using very low res, or pulling very low FPS.
Its a massively demanding game, especially with DX11. It can eat up multiple gbs of vram.

I wish Next gen consoles were £1k! Maybe they would actually be bleeding or at least cutting edge.
If reports are to be believed, MS are using a circa $60-80 gpu. Thats last year/this year prices. By the time it retails, they will be half that. Already age old tech.

They will keep price to around £200. They need the mass market, the small portion who would happily spend big bucks.
Sadly its all about digital downloads, and social functions. They are trying to become an all encompassing machine, rather than a games console.
