I need a new polish for my Ming blue audi.

So whats the best between the 2? Ive got people saying 1 and people saying the other?

Cheers, Lee

to my knowledge blacklight is a sealant with no filling properties whereas black hole does have filling properties and is used to mask swirl marks etc

mad props to poor boys! used it on solid black... seriously good results! masked minor swirls, looks good in the sun light, easy to apply, no residue when removing and has stood up well agains the snow/rain over the last week here! i expect it will last about a month.

Got alot of love for Poor boys stuff, bought the same stuff but for the light coloured cars, white diamond i think, and it really does work. Covers scratches, when matched with a nice sealant/wax it lasts too

Ah right. Looks like the Poorboys stuff it is. Cheers lads!

My cars gonna get clayed, paint-renovated, polished, glazed, sealed and waxed when the weathers nice.

you wont go wrong with BH mate its one of my fav products for darker cars, actually works well on silver too adding a deepness to it.

p.s why are you sealing AND waxing??

Yea I've heard nothing but good things.

Ive got a spray sealer but i just thought id stick some on that on before i wax it lol. I just want it as shiny as i can get it. The colours shows up so many imperfections

its all about the prep then fella, get the paint as clean and free of contaminents as possible, a good quality polish that lays down a nice oily base ready for the glaze and then wax, no need to seal plus wax mate, a wax does add a bit of gloss but its in the prep, polish and glaze that will give you the shine your after mate

Ah right i get ya. Cheers.

But the only polish i have is the Autoglym super resin. Tbh i dont think its too good, I think im gonna have to invest in something else. Im deffinatly gonna have to clay it aswell. Theres loads od stuff in the paint n it feels rough.

SRP is crap, sell it or throw in the back of the garage. get something like Auto Finnese triple 3 polish its really good fella and lays down some nice oils. yes a car must be clayed first but use tardis if you have any first as it saves your clay bar

TFR
rinse
Snow
wash
tardis
rinse
de ironiser
rinse
Clay
wash
dry

then away you go with the polish, leave half hour then add black hole and ideally leave for an hour, do 2 coats if you like then leave for an hour and 3 coats of wax leaving 30-60mins between coats. when i protect mine with a wax i leave 12 hours between 2 coats and 24 hours for the last coat curing time.

job done :)

Haha i know. Well ill get some before and after pictures for you at the weekend if your interested ?

Course mate, we all appreciate good pics of a nice clean Audi

why not get both and do 50 50 on your bonnet and see

For a start Chemical guys black light and poor Boys black hole are two different products therefore cannot really be compared.

Black hole is a GLAZE that contains fillers and masks swirls and does not contain any protection.

Black Light is a nano sealant which does actually have some fillers to help mask imperfections although not as much as the above and it sill offer the paintwork protection.

Are you working by hand or with a machine?
