Can anyone rccomend and/or post a link for some hubcentric spacers please,
rather use tried and tested jobbys,
thinking off putting some on front and rears
perhaps only 5mm on fronts, and 10's on rears !
my wheels are wide enough,, but i just wanna see what it looks like propper beefed up,
would also need new bolts aswell wouldnt i ??

cheers bigears !

I use H&R hubcentrics, got them from DPM Performance, they're not cheap though which is why I bought 8mm all round.

They come with longer bolts, you lose the locking one though.

I'm now running 19x8.5 Porsche 997 reps, also interested in spacers. I'm no wheel expert but ET also comes into play with spacers doesn't it?

I want 10mm rear spacers too?!

Group Buy?

hmmmmm

Yep, if you have for example an ET42 wheel and add a 10mm spacer it will then be ET32.

The lower the ET the further out the wheel will stick.

ET32 down to ET30 is good for the back of an A4 with an 8.5" wide wheel as im running 10mm spacers out back.

I have a pair of h+ r spacers for sale they are 5mm each looking for 20 posted still have the box to i think, h+ r advised me tht only need longer bolts when going more than 5mm

If any ones wanta to do group buy i work at eurous and we are sole distributor for h+ r if theres enough interest i can ask someone to do a good price for us

If I can get some advice on what size to get I may get in on this too. I've cracked one of my wheels on a pot hole so got it sitting in the garage at home, will check the ET this evening.

Obviously want to poke them out as much as possible but without scrubbing anything.

Okay, just checked the cracked wheel in the garage, says ET42.

So can anyone advise what size spacers I should be looking for? Based on rawtor51's post, I'm thinking 10 or 12mm on the back? Any suggestions for the front?

All help appreciated, thank you.

If everyone writes on a list of what size you want and how many( just write your user name besides the size.

Please edit this list

5mm ,
10mm
12mm etc etc

Then ill post price list up for each size i work at cambridge euros so can either paypal me and ill post or noticed smooth assault is in cambridgeshire either way :)

Yea, depending on postage costs I might pop in and say hello. I'm the far side of St Neots from you so still around an hour away when I undoubtedly get stuck behind a convoy of lorries on the A428 :gun2:

Do they come in pairs?

They do indeed ill let you all have an input to the list then ill see what discounts i can arrange

It sort of depends what look you're after. For me personally, ET35 is as far as I want my wheels to stick out, but some people want them sticking out more. 8mm spacers on ET42 (odd ET, what wheels are they?) obviously gives ET34 which I think would be spot on. What width are your wheels?

I think the significant extra cost of 10mm spacers to drop the finished ET to 32 isn't worth the outlay. The next poster will probably come along and say you want ET30 as 35 isn't enough. It's personal choice.

I'm running Porsche 997 turbo reps at the moment. They're 19x8.5.

I'm just wondering what the limit is, then I'll probably reel than in a few mill to be on the safe side. Thanks for the advice James.

I run 8J's at ET35 and that's fine, a mm or two more wouldn't hurt. I'd say ET34 on an 8.5J would be about the max, again, personal opinion.

"experienced" option. :beerchug:

Probably be okay with 10mm on the back and 8mm on the fronts then?

I assume an 8J at ET35 sticks out the same as an 8.5 at ET35, just with the 8J having a half inch less on the inner edge? Or is my understanding of wheel fitment completely off? lol

EDIT: I have misunderstood, probably better with 10mm all around making me ET35. Yes?

Offset is measured from the centerline of the wheel to the mounting surface. So a 9J wheel will stick out more from the hub mounting surface than an 8J wheel. It will stick out more, equally on both sides, ie half an inch each side.

Offset (ET): Distance in mm from center (C) of rim to mounting plane (M)

Offset (wheel) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

10 at the rear and 8 at the front sound about right, the arches tend to overhang more at the back.

K guys i have some prices
If interested please drop me a pm

5 mm 22.50+ vat
8mm 25.95 + vat
10mm 44.95 + vat
12mm 48.50 + vat
15mm 52 + vat

Let us know

Think I may go for 8mm all 'round based on that.

If my dyslexia hasn't fooled me, 4x8mm for £62.28 instead of 2x8mm and 2x10mm at £85.08 is a pretty big jump for the sake of an extra couple of mill each side.

The jump between 8 and 10 is always a big one, hence my earlier post about cost effectiveness.

Those prices are for a pair yes?

Are they hubcentric? And do they come with longer bolts?

They are for the pair and are hubcentric , however the tight people of h+ r do not supply bolts i can source them thou if require , wouldnt of thought more than 1 each so 20 for bolts but as i said if doing 5mm should be okay with standard ones

Ah looks like there charge for them but chuck the bolts in plus 9.95 delivery ( jesus ) yh my people are saying about 1 per bolt so add £20 to price inc vat and ill sort the appropiate bolts

Just for info, DPM will price match so that's not necessarily the price you'll pay.

Absolutely, and I'm not trying to persuade anyone either way. I'm just stating the facts as and when I bought mine last year.

Just got my RS6'S back from the powdercoaters,

m002.jpg

They are OEM rims so have a ET of 43 but i will be running 8mm front and 12mm rear H&R spacers giving a finished ET of 35 front and 31 rear,
By the way i have a set of 8mm H&R spacers up for grabs now if anyone wants to pm me an offer for them.

They look nice Matt, will be stunning fitted.

For no other reason than to illustrate my point, these are 8.5J wheels at ET35 - as good a stance as you'll get in my opinion.
