just been checking for the rattle and it stops if i hold something to wastgate actuator rod, that is the part that seems to rattle!, if i put my fingers in where the 2 nuts 4 there seems to be a bit of play there! shound there be a clip that goes over them, aslo what is the best way to sort this out. i have a boost guage fitted and the boost seems ok, the the awful tinny rattle when i let off the accelerator! any help appriciated! thanks

you might get away with just upping the preload slightly.
The turbo i just removed was rattling, and the insides look totally fine, except you can spin the wastegate penny easily by hand, even though its shut. I'd imagine half a turn or so on the rod would probably have been enough to quieten it down.
