Hi All,

Car was running great on APR stage 2 with Twontake intake and TBE Miltek until my PCV went off. I started having the crazy idling associated with it. Got it replaced with the BSH PCV Fix and while the idle jumping wasfixed and car runs beauitful under throttle, the idling is still slightly rough where it dips below 800 by 50 rpm then comes back. It espcially happens when i take off in the morning with car still clod and reach a light and stop then 5 seconds later it starts. Once i do 20 kms or so, it gets better. I got the spark plugs changed to see if that fixes the problem but it didnt help. Anyone with BSH PCV fix with similar issues?

Hi have you checked The maf...And coilpacks,.

What tests should I run to isolate issues with those. I previously had a look at the maf which looked ok but how do I test it. Also similarly with coil packs. What should I do. Appreciate the help.

I was told maybe it's the twintake but what I don't get why it was till pcv failed.

hookup the vagcom and do some data logging to see if its miss firing

I though these PCV fixes were meant to make the idle more stable?

IIRC Warren had either the BSH PCV fix or catch can on his 8P2 S3 and he got shot of it after the idle started hunting and he had other problems associated with it. He swapped it out for the Forge catch can, which never gave him any issues. I think the BSH supplied pipes collapsed on Warren's BSH PCV set up, causing probs, so this may also be the source of your idle issues, Matey :(. Hope you get it sorted out  xx

There are no hoses supplied. Mine is the basic one without the oil catch can. Interestingly, it runs much better on a really hot day. Today was nearly 40deg Celsius day and even when cold at traffic light it was doing ok. It's like it's got to do with engine temp or something.
