I'm guessing this is a boost leak, Is there a usual suspect spot for this?

I've check all the PCV & Vaccum hoses but all seems to be in working condition with no rips etc.

The hissing noise when sat in the drivers seat sounds like it's coming directly in-front of me under the bonnet.

What I have noticed is that the breather pipe's (the 3 way connector looking one) Is pretty much dead, the rubber has completely collapsed and isn't letting any air through. Can this affect boosting in any way?

I'd be checking under the inlet manifold myself :)

Little PCV hoses and things with their small take offs can make quite a high pitch hissing sound, and if they haven't ever been checked or replaced then I'm yet to see a standard car that doesn't have leaks there.

I'l have a look at them tomorrow. Thanks

If you can hear the hissing that loud it must be a massive leak. Check the turbo pipe coming off the turbo which connects to the charge pipe. That one is common for rips/tears too.

i'm having similar problems...loads more noise when boosting and seems to be hesitating like mad b4 it comes on song? but when it does...it still pulls like a train!any ideas lads...air leak or maf sensor?
