Anybody know the front wiper motor part number?
Will the motor from a b7 fit?

part no: 8E2 955 119A

If you need one,i have a new one which i bought it after a bad diagnostic.

You sure it's the wiper motor that's failed as it's normally the linkage that seizes up. The motor has a safety cut out built in to it to protect it.

what pauldazzle said, common fault with the B^, the linkage siezes up

Already replaced linkage last year. Got wet in that area again now wipers are permanently on. Changed relay and tried new wiper stalk, still the same. Hoping the wiper park switch in the motor has failed./

I have it the same problem, and i thought is wiper motor fault, this is the reason because i have one.
But no,it wasn` the motor,it was the electric control module, because the water come inside of this module, see pics
The new module cost me 245£ from the stealer

It looks like it's worth spankius having a look at the module before buying a motor then.

Ashihara - what caused your water damage? A leaking ecu cover?

Does the new module need programming or is it plug and play

Yes,but it was my fault;in the summer time the wiper linkage get blocked and to get it out i had to take the ECU off and i didn`t fit the screw`s back propely.

Is there a way of testing the module?

You can take him off and check.

Yes,it need programming; is still working without programming, but doesn`t work properly and throw`s some error code`s.

Took the module out, it was full of water and even ice. Dried it out, sprayed it with multi lube and everything works.

Manners are few and far between on this forum a lot of the time sadly.

Sorry.
Big thanks to ASHIHARA.
Saved me a lot of time and money. I have spent a couple of weeks and not found the answer anywhere else.
How do i do a proper thanks, i move the arrow over it and nothing happens.

If you move the mouse over the thanks button the cursor will turn into a finger, so you can click on it. Might not work on a Tapatalk app if thats what you're using.

Hi im also having same issue with my wipers its only workin on medium speed and have to remove the fuse to switch it off plus the horn doesnt work n goes off wen it feels like due to the bulkhead drainage being blocked water came through.
I wanted to know what do you mean by reprogramming the control module?
