When buying my cars - I always do an HPI check as most people do. The last time I done an HPI check I used a company called iCarcheck and you get your report in PDF format etc.


I've just received an email from them today to say they're launching an iPhone app and it's free to register and FREE GOLD checks until 2nd January (usual price is £4.99 each) - you can get i here:

Just installed it and checked it on mine again and it was spot on! - if you're in the market for a new car or want to check your car history and have an iPhone then I wouldn't hang about as it'll be gone soon! :)

Picking my new car up on Tuesday and this gave me the further peice of mind that its a sound purchase ;)

Can even view the numbers plates that have been put on it.
 
is this for Iphone users only? could do with doing a check myself but havent got a Iphone but a bloomin blueberry!!!
 
Inputted the reg of the 3rd car I bought, owned 14 years ago, and see that it was written off and scraped 2 years ago.
This is a sad sad day for me.
 
Mine said 7 major so I paid 6.99 for it it to tell me I changed reg plate ******* !

Wow, never thought of checking old cars! My first ever car, a Mk2 Golf 1.3 tarted with GTI bits is still alive!
