Westy, where are you venting to? was it you that ran the hose down to the rear of the car?

It was me indeed. Can is attached to the bulkhead so I run a 2 metre hose down and out by the subframe then I've cable tied it along the hard braklines and the end vents in between my rear wheels. I did this after I tried venting to atmos in the engine bay but it got a bit smelly in the car.

Yeh, I remember reading about that. Lol. Im not sure I have 2m left. might have to dig it out when I get home. You got any pics to show the routing? I want to make sure I dont cable tie it to something that it shouldnt be cable tied to ;) Also, did you have that filter to put on the end? Where did you get it from? You got the link to your install?

Everything is in my build thread mate and also in the catch can install guide I did. If you vent to atmos at the back of the car you won't need a filter. I only used the filter when I vented straight off the catch can to make it look bling. I just bought it from eBay.

Got mine yesterday, still need to order the piping though.

Many thanks Chris.

Yeah make sure you clamp the one way valve down. I had one of my hoses pop off and had no servo'd brakes :sadlike: luckily I was pulling into works carpark and not gunning it down the motorway or worse, the Nurburgring.

Does it matter which way round you fit it, and if it does which way round does it go.

Thanks, Chris.

Did anyone with a AUM A3 get in on this or was it just s3 owners?

If so it would be good to see some pics showing how they fitted it :)

Think its mainly S3 owners mate

That's a shame :(

I've found some pictures that 16Klappe uploaded when he took the manifold off) after prawn had fitted his, but they are too small to really see what's been done.....lol

Thanks mate ;)

Did you take any pictures showing what you removed and where the hose goes in front of the engine?

Also will your engine cover still fit or will it need to be modified now?

I found this bigger picture uploaded by 16Klappe:

From the picture it seems like the pipework from the catch can is pretty straight forward but for obvious reasons you cant see what's been plugged and removed :(

I think I've almost got this mapped out in my head now.....lol

Just a couple more things......

Is what's been removed in this picture EXACTLY the same on the AUM engine?
And is it capped off the the same two places ?
